Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I were coming out of the mosque that we met a person on the threshold of the mosque and he said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: When would be the Last Hour? Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What preparation have you made for that? The man became silent and then said: Messenger of Allah, I have made no significant preparation with prayer and fasting and charity but I, however, love Allah and His Messenger. Thereupon (the Holy Prophet) said: You would be along with one whom you love.  

مسلم:٢٦٣٩f – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَارِجَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَقِينَا رَجُلاً عِنْدَ سُدَّةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا قَالَ فَكَأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ اسْتَكَانَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا كَبِيرَ صَلاَةٍ وَلاَ صِيَامٍ وَلاَ صَدَقَةٍ وَلَكِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ

While the Prophet ﷺ and I were coming out of the mosque, a man met us outside the gate. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! When will be the Hour?" The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What have you prepared for it?" The man became afraid and ashamed and then said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I haven't prepared for it much of fasts, prayers or charitable gifts but I love Allah and His Apostle." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You will be with the one whom you love."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking until he reached the mosque or was close to it. A man or an old man approached him and said, "When is the hour, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "And what have you prepared for it?" The man said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I have not prepared much prayer or fasting for it, but I love Allah and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will be with those you love."  

أحمد:١٣٦٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked until he reached a mosque nearby. A sheikh or a man approached him and said, "When is the hour, O Messenger of Allah?" [Machine] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ about the Hour (Day of Judgment). He said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man replied, "I have not prepared anything for it, except that I love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet ﷺ said, "A person will be with those whom he loves." Sufyan (a companion) then said, "Once again, are you going to be with those whom you love?"

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ «مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟» قَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا كَبِيرًا إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ «فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ»
