ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى أَنَّ النِّسَاءَ وَالصِّبْيَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحَرْبِ إِذَا قَاتَلُوا قُوتِلُوا

[AI] "He [the narrator] reported that he accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle led by Khalid ibn al-Walid. They passed by a woman who had been killed from what had afflicted the front line. They stopped and looked at her, amazed by her appearance, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ caught up with them on his mount. They moved away from her, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood over her and said, 'This woman was not meant to fight.' He said to one of them, 'Speak the truth, O Khalid, and say to him [referring to Khalid], "Do not kill offspring or a suckling child."

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُخَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا وَعَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَرَّ رَبَاحٌ وَأَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ مِمَّا أَصَابَتِ الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَوَقَفُوا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِهَا حَتَّى لَحِقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَانْفَرَجُوا عَنْهَا فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ لِتُقَاتِلَ فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ الْحَقْ خَالِدًا فَقُلْ لَهُ لَا تَقْتُلُوا ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا

[AI] "We accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and passed by a murdered woman who had gathered a crowd around her. He said, 'Give her some space.' Then he said to a man, 'Go to Khalid ibn al-Walid and tell him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ orders you not to kill any offspring or captives.'"

غَزَوْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ وَقَدِ اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهَا النَّاسُ قَالَ فَأَفْرَجُوا لَهُ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتَلُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ لَا تَقْتُلَ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا

[AI] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, fought a battle in which Khalid bin Al-Walid was leading the vanguard. They passed by a dead woman who had been affected by the fighting in the vanguard, and they stopped to marvel at her features. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, then caught up with them and they made way for him until he saw her. He said, "This was the one who fought." Then he looked at the faces of the people and said to one of them, "The right of Khalid bin Al-Walid should not be taken away. He should not be killed nor subjected to any kind of punishment." This narration was reported by Al-Mughira bin Abd al-Rahman and Ibn Juraij from Abu al-Zinad. "This hadith is authentic according to the conditions of both sheikhs (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) and they did not exclude it." Reported by Ibn Juraij and others from Abu al-Zinad according to the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَزَا غَزْوَةً كَانَ عَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ فِيهَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَرَّ رَبَاحٌ وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ مِمَّا أَصَابَ الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَوَقَفُوا عَلَيْهَا يَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِهَا حَتَّى لَحِقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَفَرَّجُوا لَهُ حَتَّى نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ «هَا مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ» ثُمَّ نَظَرَ فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ «الْحَقْ بِخَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَلَا يُقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا» وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ «فَصَارَ الْحَدِيثُ صَحِيحًا عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» رواه ابن جريج وغيره عن أبي الزناد على شرط البخاري ومسلم

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle when he passed by a dead woman and people were gathered around her. He said, "This woman was not fighting, so tell Khalid not to kill children or women."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَمَرَّ بِامْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ وَالنَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ لِتُقَاتِلَ أَدْرِكْ خَالِدًا فَقُلْ لَهُ لَا تَقْتُلْ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا»

[AI] "We were raiding with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we passed by a woman who had been killed and had people gathered around her. They uncovered her for the Prophet ﷺ, who said, 'She should not have been killed.' Then he said, 'Go, for the truth is with Khalid ibn al-Walid and tell him not to kill any offspring or maid servant.'"

غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَرَرْنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ قَدْ قُتِلَتْ لَهَا خَلْقٌ وَالنَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا فَفَرَّجُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ لِتُقَاتِلُ» ثُمَّ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَالْحَقْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَا تَقْتُلْ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا

[AI] He informed him that he went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle in which Khalid bin Al-Walid was leading. Rabaah and the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a dead woman who was among the casualties from the battle. They stood by her, looking at her and admiring her beauty, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ caught up with them on his camel. They then turned their attention away from the woman. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Was this woman fighting?" Then he looked at the faces of the people and said to one of them, "Khalid bin Al-Walid is right, he should not kill a descendant or a weak person."

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا كَانَ عَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ فِيهَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَرَّ رَبَاحُ وَأَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ مِمَّا أَصَابَتِ الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَوَقَفُوا عَلَيْهَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهَا وَيَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِهَا حَتَّى لَحِقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ فَتَفَرَّجُوا عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ» ثُمَّ نَظَرَ فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ «الْحَقْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَلَا يَقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا»

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle, and Khalid ibn al-Walid was leading the people. Suddenly, they came across a dead woman on the road, and they were amazed by her appearance. The vanguard was the one who had caused her death. So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and stood over her, then he said to a man, "Catch up with Khalid ibn al-Walid and tell him not to kill any offspring or captive."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ وَعَلَى مُقَدِّمَةِ النَّاسِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ مَقْتُولَةٌ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ يَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِهَا قَدْ أَصَابَتْهَا الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَأَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ «أَدْرِكْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَا يَقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا»

[AI] "He informed him that he had gone out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle, and Khalid ibn Al-Walid was in the forefront. Then, Rabaah and the companions of the Prophet ﷺ passed by a woman who had been killed by the forefront. They gathered around her, observing her and her features, and were amazed by her. Until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and they moved back, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at her, and said: 'She was not a combatant.' He looked at the faces of the people, then said to one of them: 'Catch up with Khalid ibn Al-Walid and tell him not to kill any offspring or a suckling.'"

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ وَكَانَ الْمُقَدِّمَةُ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَرَّ رَبَاحُ وَأَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ قُتَيْلَةٍ قَتَلَتْهَا الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَاجْتَمَعُوا عَلَيْهَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِلَى خَلْقِهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْهَا حَتَّى جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وتَفَرَّجُوا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ» فَنَظَرَ فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ «أَدْرِكْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَا تَقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا»

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a military expedition, and Khalid ibn al-Walid was leading us. We passed by a killed woman from what had affected the front lines, so we stopped to look at her and were amazed by her. Until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came on his camel, and we moved away from her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Was this woman fighting?" He looked at the faces of the people and said to one of them, "Catch up with Khalid and tell him not to kill any descendants or captives."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ وَعَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ مِمَّا أَصَابَتِ الْمُقَدَّمَةُ فَوَقَفْنَا نَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا وَنَتَعَجَّبُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ فَانْفَرَجْنَا عَنْهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ» فَقَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ أَدْرِكْ خَالِدًا فَقُلْ لَهُ لَا تَقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle, and we passed by a woman who had been killed. The people uncovered her face and recognized her. So, he said, "This woman did not fight for the truth, may she be cursed." I said to him, "Do not kill an offspring or a captive."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ فَمَرَرْنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ وَالنَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا فَفرَجُوا لَهُ فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ الْحَقَ خَالِدًا» فَقُلْ لَهُ «لَا تُقْتَلْ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا»

[AI] "He informed him that he had gone out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle that Khalid bin Al-Walid led. Then Rabaah and the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a dead woman who had been hit by the front of the army, so they stopped and looked at her, amazed by her beauty, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ caught up with them on his camel. He said, 'Release the woman.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped by her and said, 'Look at her, she was not fighting.' He looked at the faces of the people and said to one of them, 'Indeed, Khalid bin Al-Walid is right, he should not kill offspring or non-combatants.' Al-Bukhari said, 'Rabaah bin Rabee' is the most authentic narrator, and whoever said "reed" is mistaken. Abu 'Isa said, 'This is his narration.'"

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ فَمَرَّ رَبَاحٌ وَأَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ مِمَّا أَصَابَتْهُ الْمُقَدِّمَةُ فَوَقَفُوا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ خَلْقِهَا حَتَّى لَحِقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ قَالَ فَفَرَّجُوا عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ فَوَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ هَا مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتَلُ قَالَ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ الْحَقْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ فَلَا يَقْتُلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ رَبَاحُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ أَصَحُّ وَمَنْ قَالَ رِيَاحٌ فَهُوَ وَهِمٌ كَذَا قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى

"مَا كَانَتْ هَذِه لتُقَاتِلَ أدْرِكْ خَالِدًا، فَقُلْ لَهُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ يأمُرُكَ أنْ لَا تَقْتُلَ ذُرِّيَّةً، وَفِي لَفْظٍ: امْرَأَةً ولا عَسِيفًا".

حم (د)، ن، هـ، والطحاوي، حب، والباوردى، وابن قانع، طب، ض عن حنظلة الكاتب، قال: غزونا مع رسول الله ﷺ فمررنا على امرأة مقتولة قال: فذكره (حم، د) (*)، ن، هـ، والطحاوي، والبغوى، حب، ك عن المرقع بن صيفى بن رباح عن جده رباح بن الربيع أخي حنظلة الكاتب، قال ابن حجر في أطرافه: وهو المحفوظ، وادعى حب: أن الطريقين محفوظان .

"عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ حِينَ غَزَا المُشرِكُونَ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ ذَاتِ خَلْقٍ، اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : مَا كَانَتْ هذِه لِتُقَاتِلَ! ! ثُمَّ قَالَ: الحَقْ خَالِدَ بْنَ الوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَهُ: لَا تَقْتُلْ ذُريَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا".
