[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to invoke a curse upon someone or to pray for someone, he would do it quietly after the bowing in prayer. Sometimes he would say, "Allah has heard the one who praised Him. Our Lord, all praise is for You, O Allah, save Al-Walid bin Al-Walid, Salmah bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abi Rabiah, and the oppressed among the believers. O Allah, strengthen your punishment upon Mudar and make it like the years of Prophet Yusuf." He would say this loudly and in some of his prayers, during the Fajr prayer, he would say, "O Allah, curse so and so and so and so, the two who are alive from the Arabs." So, Allah revealed: "It is not for you [O Muhammad] to decide a matter whether [God] redirects or forgives them or punishes them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers." (Quran 3:128)

O Allah, save Salama bin Hisham. O Allah, save Al-Walid bin Al-Wahd. O Allah, save the weak ones among the believers. O Allah, let Your punishment be severe on the tribe of Mudar. O Allah, inflict upon them years (of famine) like the years of Joseph." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4598)
