[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate to Allah after he finished the recitation in prayer, before the bowing and after the bowing. Sometimes, he would say, "Allahumma ij'al al-Walid ibn al-Walid, Wasalamat ibn Hisham, Wa Ayyash ibn Abi Rabia, Wal-Mustad'afin min al-Mu'minin. Allahumma ashrud watataka 'ala Mudar wa ijalha sinina kasi sin Yusuf." He said, "He said it out loud and mentioned it in some of his prayers in the Fajr prayer. [Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to invoke a curse upon someone or to pray for someone, he would do it quietly after the bowing in prayer. Sometimes he would say, "Allah has heard the one who praised Him. Our Lord, all praise is for You, O Allah, save Al-Walid bin Al-Walid, Salmah bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abi Rabiah, and the oppressed among the believers. O Allah, strengthen your punishment upon Mudar and make it like the years of Prophet Yusuf." He would say this loudly and in some of his prayers, during the Fajr prayer, he would say, "O Allah, curse so and so and so and so, the two who are alive from the Arabs." So, Allah revealed: "It is not for you [O Muhammad] to decide a matter whether [God] redirects or forgives them or punishes them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers." (Quran 3:128)

Whenever Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to invoke evil upon somebody or invoke good upon somebody, he used to invoke (Allah after bowing (in the prayer). Sometimes after saying, "Allah hears him who sends his praises to Him, all praise is for You, O our Lord," he would say, "O Allah. Save Al-Walid bin Al-Walid and Salama bin Hisham, and ʿAiyash bin Abu Rabiʿa. O Allah! Inflict Your Severe Torture on Mudar (tribe) and strike them with (famine) years like the years of Joseph." The Prophet ﷺ used to say in a loud voice, and he also used to say in some of his Fajr prayers, "O Allah! Curse soand- so and so-and-so." naming some of the Arab tribes till Allah revealed:--"Not for you (O Muhammad) (but for Allah) is the decision." (3.128) (Using translation from Bukhārī 4560)
