Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No woman should ask for the divorce of her sister (Muslim) so as to take her place, but she should marry the man (without compelling him to divorce his other wife), for she will have nothing but what Allah has written for her."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّ لَهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا

A man must not make proposal of marriage to a woman when his brother has done so already. And he must not offer a price for a thing for which his brother had already offered a price; and a woman must not be combined in marriage with her father's sister, nor with her mother's sister, and a woman must not ask to have her sister divorced in order to deprive her of what belongs to her, but she must marry, because she will have what Allah has decreed for her.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَسُومُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلاَ تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the combining of a woman in marriage with her father's sister, or with her mother's sister, or that a woman should ask for divorce for her sister in order to deprive her of what belongs to her. Allah, the Exalted'and Majestic, is her Sustainer too.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ خَالَتِهَا أَوْ أَنْ تَسْأَلَ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷻ رَازِقُهَا

Abu Hurairah reported the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying “A woman should not ask for the divorce of her sister to make her bowl vacant for her and to marry him. She will have what is decreed for her.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا

The Messenger of Allah said: "No town-dweller should sell for a desert-dweller, do not artificially inflate prices, no man should urge a seller to cancel a sale already agreed upon with another buy so as to by the goods himself, no one should make a proposal over the proposal of his brother and no woman should make a proposal over the proposal of his brother and no woman should ask for her sister in faith) to be divorced so as to turn over what is in her vessel Deprived her of her share of maintenance) and so that she may get married in her place: she will have what Allah has decreed or her."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَبِيعَنَّ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَلاَ تَنَاجَشُوا وَلاَ يُسَاوِمِ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَخْطُبْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي إِنَائِهَا وَلِتُنْكَحَ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 577)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا افْتَتَحَ مَكَّةَ قَالَ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prohibited selling an item that someone else already intended to buy, or competing with someone in a transaction, or a man proposing marriage to a woman who has already been proposed to by his brother, or selling something that belongs to his brother. A woman should not ask her sister for a divorce just to take what is in her dowry or her utensils; instead, she should marry, for her sustenance is from Allah.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ أَوْ يَتَنَاجَشُوا أَوْ يَخْطُبَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ أَوْ يَبِيعَ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا أَوْ إِنَائِهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّمَا رِزْقُهَا عَلَى اللهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man should not sell his brother's property, nor propose to a woman who is engaged, and a woman should not demand the divorce of her sister in order to be free to marry her husband, for she only has what Allah has written for her."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَبْتَاعُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ وَلَا تَشْتَرِطُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ صَحْفَتَهَا فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ ﷻ لَهَا

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "None of you should propose to his brother's fiancee, nor should he outbid his brother's sale, and a woman should not marry her paternal or maternal aunt, and do not ask for a divorce for your sister so that she can collect her dowry, but let her marry, for she only has what Allah has written for her."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَسْتَامُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلِتُنْكَحَ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهَا

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى ابْنَةِ أَخِيهَا وَلَا عَلَى ابْنَةِ أُخْتِهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman should not ask for the divorce of her sister to make her plate empty and in order to marry. She has what is decreed for her."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلاَقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلِتَنْكِحَ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man should not be envious of his brother's fasting, nor should he propose to marry the woman his brother has proposed to, and a woman should not ask for the divorce of her sister in order to benefit from what is in her dowry."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَسْتَامُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةَ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا»

One should not combine in marriage a woman with her father's sister, or her mother's sister. (Using translation from Muslim 1408e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا فَإِنَّ لَهَا مَا كُتِبَ لَهَا»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No woman should ask for the divorce of her sister (Muslim) so as to take her place, but she should marry the man (without compelling him to divorce his other wife), for she will have nothing but what Allah has written for her." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6601)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا وَلِتُنْكَحَ فَإِنَّ لَهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman should not ask for the divorce of her sister in order to empty what is in her dowry, for indeed, a Muslim woman is the sister of a Muslim woman."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَسْأَلِ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَسْتَفْرِغَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا فَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَةَ أُخْتُ الْمُسْلِمَةِ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ عَاشُورَاءَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تُبْرِزْ فَخِذَكَ وَلَا تَنْظُرْ إِلَى فَخِذِ حَيٍّ وَلَا مَيِّتٍ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ تَفْسِيرِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ تَنْزِيهُ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مِنَ السُّوءِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ طَلْحَةَ مُتَّصِلًا إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ لَرَشِيدُ الْأَمْرِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ طَلْحَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ آذَى عَلِيًّا فَقَدْ آذَانِي وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَسْتَشْهِدُونَ بِالْقَتْلِ وَالطَّاعُونِ وَالْغَرِقِ وَالْبَطْنِ وَمَوْتِ الْمَرْأَةِ جَمْعًا مَوْتُهَا فِي نِفَاسِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَقَدِ اهْتَزَّ لَهُ الْعَرْشُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ فَقَالَ أَيَنْقُصُ ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَنَهَى عَنْهُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتَهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ إِلَى غَنِيٍّ أَوْ فَقِيرٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَعْلِنُوا النِّكَاحَ وَاضْرِبُوا عَلَيْهِ بِالْغِرْبَالِ يَعْنِي الدُّفَّ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ سَاقِي الْقَوْمِ آخِرُهُمْ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ دُعَاءُ الْأَخِ لِأَخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ لَا يُرَدُّ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَخَالِدُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ بَصْرِيُّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَعَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نعلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ إلاَّ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ولاَ عَن جَعْفَرٍ إلاَّ كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ الإِيمَانُ فِي الْقَلْبِ وَالإِسْلامُ مَا ظَهَرَ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَانِيَةً وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَن قَتادة عَن أَنَس إلاَّ عَلِيُّ بن مسعدة

أَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ خَلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أَنَس إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الوجه

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَعَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَن قَتادة عَن ابن الْمُسَيَّب وأبي العالية عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ سَعِيد بن بشير

أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَعَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَن يَحْيَى عَن سَعِيد عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ سفيان رواه عَن سُفيان الحميدي وَأبُو مسلم المستملي

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ ابنا العاص مؤمنان هشام وعمرو وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ مُحَمد عَن أبي سَلَمَة عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ حماد بن سلمة

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَعَلَى خالتها وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نعلَمُ أحَدًا رَوَاهُ عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عن عروة وقبيصة وعبيد الله عَن أبي هُرَيرة فجمعهم إلاَّ عُقَيل ولاَ رَواه عَنْ عُقَيل إلاَّ يحيى بن أيوب وَابن لهيعة

عَنِ النَّبِيّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لعن المحل والمحلل له وهذا الحديث لا نعلم يروى عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْمَدَّاحِينَ فَاحْثُوا في وجوههم التراب وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 577)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا»

Abu Hurairah reported the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying “A woman should not ask for the divorce of her sister to make her bowl vacant for her and to marry him. She will have what is decreed for her.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2176)

A man must not make proposal of marriage to a woman when his brother has done so already. And he must not offer a price for a thing for which his brother had already offered a price; and a woman must not be combined in marriage with her father's sister, nor with her mother's sister, and a woman must not ask to have her sister divorced in order to deprive her of what belongs to her, but she must marry, because she will have what Allah has decreed for her.
