ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar said: "A man got up in the mosque and said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ 'At which place you order us that we should assume the Ihram?' Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'The residents of Medina should assure the Ihram from Dhil-Hulaifa, the people of Syria from Al-Juhfa and the people of Najd from Qarn." Ibn ʿUmar further said, "The people consider that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had also said, 'The residents of Yemen should assume Ihram from Yalamlam.' " Ibn ʿUmar used to say, "I do not: remember whether Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said the last statement or not?"

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّأْمِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمْ أَفْقَهْ هَذِهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of Medina should assume lhram from Dhul-Hulaifa; the people of Sham from Al-Juhfa; and the people of Najd from Qarn." And ʿAbdullah added, "I was informed that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said, 'The people of Yemen should assume Ihram from Yalamlam.' "

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّأْمِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Miqat for the people of Medina is Dhul-Hulaifa; for the people of Sham is Mahita; (i.e. Al-Juhfa); and for the people of Najd is Qarn. And said Ibn ʿUmar, "They claim, but I did not hear personally, that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The Miqat for the people of Yemen is Yalamlam."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذُو الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ مَهْيَعَةُ وَهِيَ الْجُحْفَةُ وَأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنٌ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمُ

The people of Medina should enter upon the state of Ihram at Dhu'l-Hulaifa, and people of Syria at Juhfa, and people of Najd at Qarn (al-Manazil), and 'Abdullah (further) said: It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also caid: The people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

The people of Medina should enter upon the state of Ihram at Dhu'l-Hulaifa; the people of Syria at Juhfa, the people of Najd at Qarn (al-Manazil). Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) said: It was mentioned to me but I did not myself bear it (directly) from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ having said this: The people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ وَذُكِرَ لِي وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

I was informed that he said that the people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُهِلُّوا مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ وَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." 'Abdullah said: "And it was conveyed to me, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.'''

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

"O Messenger of Allah, from where do you command us to enter Ihram?'' The Messenger of Allah Said: "The people of Al-Madinah should enter Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham should enter Ihram from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd should enter Ihram from Qarn.'' Ibn 'Umar said: "And they say that the Messenger of Allah said: 'the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.''' And 'Ibn 'Umar used to say: "I did not hear this from the Messenger of Allah.'''

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمْ أَفْقَهْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." And it was mentioned to me, although I did not hear him say it: "And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.;

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَذُكِرَ لِي وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

"The Messenger of Allah designated Dhul-Hulaifah as the Miqat for the people of Al-Madinah, Al-Juhfah for the people Ash-sham and Egypt, Dhat 'Irq for the people Al-'Iraq, Qarn for the people of Najd and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen."

وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلأَهْلِ الشَّامِ وَمِصْرَ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلأَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ وَلأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَلأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) appointed the following places for putting on Ihram : Dhul al-Hulaifah for the people of Madina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria and al-Qarn for the people of Najd and have been told that appointed Yalamlam for the people of Yemen.

وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ

A man said: "Where should we begin our Hil (Ihram) O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The people of Al-Madinah begin their Hil (Ihram) from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people from Ash-Sham from Al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn." And he (Ibn Umar) said: ("And they say:) "And the people of Yemen from Yalamlam."

مِنْ أَيْنَ نُهِلُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ وَيَقُولُونَ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

“The people of Al-Madinah should begin the Talbiyah from Dhul- Hulaifah, the people of Sham from Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn.” ‘Abdullah said: “As for these three, I heard them from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And it reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘And the people of Yemen should enter Ihram from Yalamlam.’”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَمَّا هَذِهِ الثَّلاَثَةُ فَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Madina should enter ihram at Dhu'l-Hulayfa, the people of Syria should do so at al-Juhfa, and the people of Najd should do so at Qarn." Abdullah ibn Umar added, "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of Yemen should enter ihram at Yalamlam.' "

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told the people of Madina to enter ihram at Dhu'l-Hulayfa, the people of Syria to do so at al-Juhfa, and the people of Najd to do so at Qarn.' Abdullah ibn Umar said, "I heard these three from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I was also told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of Yemen should enter ihram at Yalamlam.' "

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُهِلُّوا مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا هَؤُلاَءِ الثَّلاَثُ فَسَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ from where should he enter the state of ihram (pilgrim's sacred state)? He replied, "The people of Al-Madinah should enter ihram from Dhul-Hulayfah, the people of Ash-Sham (Greater Syria) should enter ihram from Al-Juhfah, the people of Yemen should enter ihram from Yalamlam, and the people of Najd should enter ihram from Qarn." Ibn 'Umar also stated that people with a lineage to Qarn should enter ihram from there.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مِنْ أَيْنَ يُحْرِمُ ؟ قَالَ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَقَاسَ النَّاسُ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ بِقَرْنٍ

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." And it was mentioned to me, although I did not hear him say it: "And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.; (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2655)

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." And it was mentioned to me, although I did not hear him say it: "And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.; (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2655)

نَادَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا نُهِلُّ؟ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." And it was mentioned to me, although I did not hear him say it: "And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.; (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2655)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَّتَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ وَذُكِرَ لِي وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] About the Prophetﷺ the people of Najd migrate from Qarn, the people of Sham (Greater Syria) from Juḥfah, and the people of Yemen from Yalamlam, and Ibn Umar did not hear him (the Prophet), but the Prophetﷺ heard the migrators from the people of Madinah from Thiyal-Hulayfah. They said to him: "So where are the people of Iraq?" Ibn Umar said: "There were none that day."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَسَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِيالْحُلَيْفَةِ قَالُوا لَهُ فَأَيْنَ أَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ؟ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ

[Machine] A man stood in the mosque and called out, "From where do we seek water, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "The people of Madinah seek water from Dhu'l-Hulayfah, the people of Sham seek water from al-Juhfah, the people of Najd seek water from Qarn, and they claim or say that he said, 'The people of Yemen seek water from al-Mulamam.'"

قَامَ رَجُلٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَى مِنْ أَيْنَ نُهِلُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ يُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَوْ يَقُولُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ أَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The mohall (grazing area) of the people of Madinah is Dhi'l-Hulayfah, and the mohall of the people of the other path is Al-Juhfah, and the mohall of the people of Iraq is Dhat 'Irq, and the mohall of the people of Najd is Qarn, and the mohall of the people of Yemen is Yalamlam."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الطَّرِيقِ الْأُخْرَى مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ مِنْ ذَاتِ عِرْقٍ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) appointed the following places for putting on Ihram : Dhul al-Hulaifah for the people of Madina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria and al-Qarn for the people of Najd and have been told that appointed Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. «وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا» قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا هَذِهِ الثَّلَاثُ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبَلَغَنِي «أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ»

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." 'Abdullah said: "And it was conveyed to me, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.''' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2651)

أَنَّهُ قَالَ «أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُهِلُّوا مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةَ وَأَهْلَ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا هَؤُلَاءِ فَسَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ مَنْ يلَمْلَمَ»

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." 'Abdullah said: "And it was conveyed to me, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.''' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2651)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُهِلُّوا مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يلَمْلَمَ»

[Machine] A man called the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Where should we collect honey from?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "The people of Madinah should collect honey from the hailfah tree, the people of Sham should collect honey from the ghufah tree, and the people of Najd should collect honey from the qarn tree." Abdullah ibn Umar said that they claim that he also said, "The people of Yemen should collect honey from the lamlam tree." Yahya doubted this.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا نَادَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ؟ فَقَالَ ﷺ «يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مَنْ يلَمْلَمَ أَوْ أَلَمْلَمَ» شَكَّ يَحْيَى

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , appointed the time for the people of Madinah as Dhu Al-Hulayfah, for the people of Sham as Al-Juhfah, for the people of Najd as Qarn, and for the people of Yemen as Yalmalmam."

«وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Medina will migrate from Dhul-Hulayfah, the people of Sham from Juhefah, the people of Yemen from Yalamlam, and the people of Najd from Qarn."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ»

The Prophet ﷺ fixed Dhul-Hulaifa as the Miqat for the people of Medina, Al-Juhfa, for the people of Sham, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn for the people of Najd. And these Mawaqit are for those living at those very places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and Umra; and whoever is living inside these places can assume lhram from his own dwelling place, and the people of Mecca can assume lhram from Mecca. «وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنَ»

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar said: "A man got up in the mosque and said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ 'At which place you order us that we should assume the Ihram?' Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'The residents of Medina should assure the Ihram from Dhil-Hulaifa, the people of Syria from Al-Juhfa and the people of Najd from Qarn." Ibn ʿUmar further said, "The people consider that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had also said, 'The residents of Yemen should assume Ihram from Yalamlam.' " Ibn ʿUmar used to say, "I do not: remember whether Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said the last statement or not?" (Using translation from Bukhārī 133)

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ» فَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمْ أَفْقَهْ هَذِهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of Medina should assume lhram from Dhul-Hulaifa; the people of Sham from Al-Juhfa; and the people of Najd from Qarn." And ʿAbdullah added, "I was informed that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said, 'The people of Yemen should assume Ihram from Yalamlam.' " (Using translation from Bukhārī 1525)

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ»

ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar said: "A man got up in the mosque and said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ 'At which place you order us that we should assume the Ihram?' يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنَّ نُهِلَّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ» وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمْ أَفْقَهْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

"The people of Al-Madinah should enter into Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd from Qarn." And it was mentioned to me, although I did not hear him say it: "And the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam.; (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2655)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people of Al-Madina take knowledge from Dhi Al-Hulayfah, the people of Sham take knowledge from Al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd take knowledge from Qarn." Abdullah said: "It was also conveyed to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The people of Yemen take knowledge from Yalamlam, the narrations of Abdullah Al-Qarnabi and Yahya bin Yahya.' In another narration of Ibn Wahb it is mentioned that Ibn Umar said: 'They claim that he said: 'The people of Yemen take knowledge from Yalamlam.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقَعْنَبِيِّ وَيَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the people of Medina to collect donations from the people of Thul-Hulayfah, and the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn. Abdullah bin Umar said, "As for these three, I heard it directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I was informed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'As for the people of Yemen, they will collect from Yalamlam.'"

أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يُهِلُّوا مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةُ فَسَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ فَيُهِلُّونَ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ imposed it on the people of Najd, the people of Madinah from Dhul-Hulayfah, and the people of Sham from Juhfah.

فَرَضَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ قَرْنٍ لِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ وَلِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Madinah come from Dhul-Hulayfah, and the people of Sham and Egypt come from Juhaafah, and the people of Yemen come from Yalamlam, and the people of Iraq come from Dhat al-Irq."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ وَمِصْرَ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ ذَاتُ عِرْقٍ

"يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ المَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذى الحُلَيْفَةِ، وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّام مِنَ الجُحْفَةِ، وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ، وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ اليَمَنَ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ".
