The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) appointed the following places for putting on Ihram : Dhul al-Hulaifah for the people of Madina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria and al-Qarn for the people of Najd and have been told that appointed Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1737)   

أحمد:٥٨٥٣حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ

أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّهُوَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ

I went to visit ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar at his house which contained many tents made of cotton cloth and these were encircled with Suradik (part of the tent). I asked him from where, should one assume Ihram for Umra. He said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ had fixed as Miqat (singular of Mawaqit) Qarn for the people of Najd, Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham."

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Miqat for the people of Medina is Dhul-Hulaifa; for the people of Sham is Mahita; (i.e. Al-Juhfa); and for the people of Najd is Qarn. And said Ibn ʿUmar, "They claim, but I did not hear personally, that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The Miqat for the people of Yemen is Yalamlam."

Ibn ʿUmar said, "The Prophet ﷺ fixed Qarn as the Miqat (for assuming the Ihram) for the people of Najd, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham, and Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina." Ibn ʿUmar added, "I heard this from the Prophet, and I have been informed that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'The Miqat for the Yemenites is Yalamlam.' "When Iraq was mentioned, he said, "At that time it was not a Muslim country."

The people of Medina should enter upon the state of Ihram at Dhu'l-Hulaifa; the people of Syria at Juhfa, the people of Najd at Qarn (al-Manazil). Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) said: It was mentioned to me but I did not myself bear it (directly) from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ having said this: The people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying that the people of Medina should enter upon the state of Ihram at Dhu'l- Hulaifa, the people of Syria at Mahya'a and that is Juhfa, and the people of Najd at Qarn (al-Manazil). 'Abdullah b. 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) said: (I did not hear it myself from him) but heard from them saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had (also) said: The people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

I was informed that he said that the people of Yemen should enter upon the state of Ihram at Yalamlam.

That the Messenger of Allah designated Dhul-Hulaifah as the Miqat for the people of Al-Madinah, Al-Juhfah for the people of Ash-sham and Eguypt, Dhat 'Irq fro the people of al-Iraq, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Madina should enter ihram at Dhu'l-Hulayfa, the people of Syria should do so at al-Juhfa, and the people of Najd should do so at Qarn." Abdullah ibn Umar added, "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of Yemen should enter ihram at Yalamlam.' "  

مالك:٢٠-٢٤وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَوَنُبِّئْتُ أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ appointed Dhul Hulayfah as the time for the people of Madinah, Qarn for the people of Najd, Juhfah for the people of Sham (Greater Syria), and he said, "I have entrusted these three with their keeping from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." And it was narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And for the people of Yemen, they are to gather." It was said to him, "And what about Iraq?" He said, "There was no Iraq at that time."

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) appointed the following places for putting on Ihram : Dhul al-Hulaifah for the people of Madina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria and al-Qarn for the people of Najd and have been told that appointed Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. And these Mawaqit are for those living at those very places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and Umra; and whoever is living inside these places can assume lhram from his own dwelling place, and the people of Mecca can assume lhram from Mecca.
