The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not drink in gold or silver utensils, and do not wear clothes of silk or Dibaj, for these things are for them (unbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter."

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَشْرَبُوا فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلاَ تَلْبَسُوا الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ فَإِنَّهَا لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade us to drink out of gold and silver vessels, or eat in it, Ann also forbade the wearing of silk and Dibaj or sitting on it.

نَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَأَنْ نَجْلِسَ عَلَيْهِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from vessels of gold and silver. He said: “They are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter.’”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَقَالَ هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ لَكُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from drinking from vessels made of gold and silver, and from eating from them, and from wearing silk and brocade. He said that those things are for them in this world, and for you in the Hereafter.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ وَقَالَ هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

[Machine] "If I had not approached him once or twice, I would not have done this. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from drinking in vessels made of gold or silver, and from wearing silk and brocade. He said, 'These things are for them in this worldly life, and for you in the Hereafter.'"

لَوْلَا أَنِّي تَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ بِهِ هَذَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ قَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from vessels of gold and silver. He said: “They are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3414)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَآنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَنَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ

[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Do not drink from gold or silver vessels, and do not wear silk or brocade, for indeed they are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي الذَّهَبِ وَلَا فِي الْفِضَّةِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ فَإِنَّهَا لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ لَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

Whan Hudhaifah was in al-Mada’in, he asked for water. A peasant brought him a silver vessel. He threw it away and said: I threw it away, for I prohibited (him) but he did not stop. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade to wear silk or brocade, and to drink from gold and silver vessels. He said: Others have them in this world and you will have them in the next. أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ اسْتَسْقَى فَأَتَاهُ إِنْسَانٌ بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَرَمَاهُ بِهِوَقَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ قَدْ نَهَيْتُهُ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَنْتَهِيَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not drink in gold or silver utensils, and do not wear clothes of silk or Dibaj, for these things are for them (unbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5633)

أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ ذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ فَإِنَّهَا لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهُمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ»

[Machine] Hudhaifa said, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited us from silver, gold, wearing silk and using perfumes and he said, 'These are for them in this worldly life, and for you in the hereafter.'"

قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَقَالَ «هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ»

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Do not wear silk or brocade, do not drink from gold or silver vessels, and do not eat from their plates, for they are for you in the hereafter and for them in this world."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْحَرِيرَ وَلَا الدِّيبَاجَ وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا فِي صِحَافِهِمَا فَإِنَّهَا لَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا»

[Machine] I apologize to you for this. I have already approached it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us and forbade us from drinking from golden and silver utensils and from wearing silk and Dibaj. He said, "They belong to them in this world, and they belong to you in the Hereafter."

إِنِّي أَعْتَذِرُ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ هَذَا إِنِّي كُنْتُ قَدْ تَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِينَا فَنَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهُوَ لَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

[Machine] Huzaifa requested for some water, so a servant brought him a silver vessel. He took it and threw it away, saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from drinking in vessels made of gold or silver, and from eating in them, as well as wearing silk and brocade garments, and sitting on them." He said, "These are for them in this world, and for you in the Hereafter."

اسْتَسْقَى حُذَيْفَةُ فَأَتَاهُ دِهْقَانٌ بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَأَخَذَهُ فَرَمَاهُ بِهِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَأَنْ نَجْلِسَ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَأَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَقَالَ هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ وَقَالَ هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَنَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ يَتَقَارَبُونَ فِي كَلَامِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه نَهَى عَن الشرب في آنية الذهب والفضة

"لَا تَشْرَبُوا في آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالفِضَّةِ، وَلَا تَأكُلُوا في صِحَافِهَا وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا الْحَريرَ وَلَا الدِّيبَاجَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُمْ في الدُّنْيا، وَهُوَ لَكُمْ في الآخِرَةِ".
