[Machine] I apologize to you for this. I have already approached it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us and forbade us from drinking from golden and silver utensils and from wearing silk and Dibaj. He said, "They belong to them in this world, and they belong to you in the Hereafter."  

البيهقي:١٠٢حَدَّثَنَا السَّيِّدُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ إِمْلَاءً أنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ثنا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُكَيْمٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ أَنَّهُ اسْتَسْقَى بِالْمَدَائِنِ فَأَتَاهُ دِهْقَانٌ بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَحَذَفَهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ حُذَيْفَةُ رَجُلًا فِيهِ حِدَّةٌ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي أَعْتَذِرُ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ هَذَا إِنِّي كُنْتُ قَدْ تَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِينَا فَنَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهُوَ لَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ  

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ

[Machine] "If I had not approached him once or twice, I would not have done this. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from drinking in vessels made of gold or silver, and from wearing silk and brocade. He said, 'These things are for them in this worldly life, and for you in the Hereafter.'"

لَوْلَا أَنِّي تَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ بِهِ هَذَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَأَنْ نَلْبَسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيبَاجَ قَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ
