“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing silk and gold. He said: ‘They are for them in this world and for us in the Hereafter.’”  

ابن ماجة:٣٥٩٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَقَالَ هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَنَا فِي الآخِرَةِ

[Machine] Hudhaifa said, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited us from silver, gold, wearing silk and using perfumes and he said, 'These are for them in this worldly life, and for you in the hereafter.'"

قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَقَالَ «هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ»
