55. Prescribed Punishments (5/5)
[Machine] He said, "How can you ask the people of the Book about something while your own book, which Allah has revealed to His Prophet ﷺ , contains the most recent news? You read it purely, without distortion, and has not become corrupt. Hasn't Allah informed you in His book that they distorted the book of Allah and changed it, and wrote a book with their own hands, claiming that it is from Allah, in order to profit from it at a low price? Let the knowledge that has come to you prevent you from asking them. By Allah, we have never seen any of them asking you about what Allah has revealed to you."

55.40 [Machine] What is forbidden regarding false accusations?
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Avoid the seven sins that destroy." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He said, "Associating partners with Allah, magic, killing a person whom Allah has forbidden except for a just cause, consuming riba (usury), consuming the wealth of orphans unjustly, fleeing from the battlefield (in times of war), and slandering virtuous, innocent women who believe. And in another narration, it includes slandering chaste, innocent believing women who are negligent."
Don't nurse grudge and don't bid him out for raising the price and don't nurse aversion or enmity and don't enter into a transaction when the others have entered into that transaction and be as fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim. All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith: his blood, his wealth and his honour. (Using translation from Muslim 2564a)
55.41 [Machine] What is mentioned in the prohibition of curses against slaves, even if it does not entail the full punishment in worldly affairs
[Machine] Abu Amr Al-Adib informed us that Abu Bakr Al-Isma'ili informed us that Abu Ya'la informed us that Abu Khaythama narrated that Ishaq Ibn Yusuf, on the authority of Fudayl Ibn Ghazwan, on the authority of Ibn Abi Nu'm, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, heard the Prophet of Repentance, Abu Al-Qasim, ﷺ , say, "Whichever man slanders his slave, while he is innocent of what he says, the punishment will be imposed upon him on the Day of Judgment, unless it is as he said to him in his statement."
55.42 [Machine] What is said about the punishment of accusing chaste women.
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the story that was revealed concerning 'Uthman to the people, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ descended and ordered that two men and a woman who had committed adultery with 'Aisha be stoned. He said that ‘Abdullah ibn Ubayy, Musayyib ibn 'Uthatha, Hassan ibn Thabit, and Hamna bint Jahsh, the sister of Zaynab bint Jahsh, stoned her together in Safwan ibn Al-Mu'attal Al-Sulami's place. And thus,
[Machine] And I heard some people from the people of knowledge saying, "Indeed, the people of the false accusation were flogged, and we do not know if that is true or not."
[Machine] He heard Ibn 'Abbas saying, "Among us was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon to the people when a man from the Banu Layth bin Bakr came to him and mentioned a hadith about confessing to and denying adultery, and being subjected to one hundred lashes, even though he had not married the woman. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Who will bear witness that you have committed adultery with her, if she denies it?' So if you have witnesses, I will subject her to the punishment, otherwise, I will subject you to the punishment of hadd for false accusation.' The man said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I swear by Allah, I have no witnesses.' So the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be subjected to the punishment of hadd, which is eighty lashes."
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said that he committed adultery with a certain woman whom he named. The Prophet ﷺ sent for her and she denied it. He stoned the man and left her.
[Machine] I said to a man, "O you who harmed his mother, he brought me to Abu Hurairah and he punished me with the punishment." Ya'qub Salamah said, "He was called Abu 'Aithamah from the tribe of Shayban." And Shu'bah said about Abu Maymunah, "I arrived in the city."
[Machine] About my journey, I became conscious and entered the mosque. Then a man came and untied its camel's reins. I said to him, "Oh doer, what if you saw me being struck standing up with eighty lashes? Indeed, I am patient." Ya'qub said and Shariq said, from Salamah ibn al-Majnoon and al-Firyaabi from Sufyan from a sheikh of the Banu Shayban, known as Abu Aythama, he said, "They took me to Abu Huraira in Bahrain."
[Machine] To the man, O Lot, the punishment of stoning is prescribed.
55.43 [Machine] The servant throws a freed slave.
[Machine] Umar ibn al-Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan, along with the caliphs that followed, never have I seen anyone beat a slave in a manner more than forty lashes.
[Machine] I reached Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and those who came after them from the caliphs, and I did not see them striking the slave except forty times. Abu Bakr al-Ardistani informed us, Abu Nasr al-Iraqi narrated to us, Sufyan al-Jawhari narrated to us, Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Abdullah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Sufyan mentioned it, and from Sufyan, Ja'far narrated from his father that Ali used to not strike the slave except forty times when he threw free slaves.
55.44 [Machine] Who said: "There is no punishment except in open adultery"?
A bedouin came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "My wife has delivered a black child." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Have you camels?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What color are they?" He replied, "They are red." The Prophet ﷺ further asked, "Are any of them gray in color?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet asked him, "Whence did that grayness come?" He said, "I thing it descended from the camel's ancestors." Then the Prophet ﷺ said (to him), "Therefore, this child of yours has most probably inherited the color from his ancestors." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6847)
"that a man from [Banu] Fazarah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! My wife gave birth to black boy." So the Prophet ﷺ said: "[Do you have any camels?]" He said: 'Yes." He said: "Then what are their colors?" He said: "Red." He said: "Is there a gray one among them?" He said: "Yes, there is a grey one among them." He said: "From where does that come?" He said: "Perhaps it is hereditary." He said: "Then in the same way, perhaps it is his heredity." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2128)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Doesn't it astonish you how Allah protects me from the Quraish's abusing and cursing? They abuse Mudhammam and curse Mudhammam while I am Muhammad (and not Mudhammam). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3533)

[Machine] To flog him with the punishment, Umar ibn Al-Khattab flogged him eighty times.
55.46 [Machine] What is included in verbal abuse without slander?
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: When a man says to another man, "O effeminate one," then lash him twenty times. And when a man says to another man, "O Jew," then lash him twenty times. Ibrahim al-Ash'hali singularly narrated this but he is not strong in his narration, and even if it is authentic, it is not applicable to punishment.

[Machine] "And Abu Amr al-Adhib informed us that Abu Ahmad al-Ghitrifi informed us that Abu Ya'la narrated to us that Ubaydullah al-Qawariyyi narrated to us that Abu Awanah narrated from Abdul Malik bin Umayr from a sheikh from the people of Kufa who said, 'I heard Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) saying, "You asked me about a man who called another man a disbeliever, a wicked sinner, and a donkey, while there is no prescribed punishment for such words. However, there is a punishment from the authorities, so do not repeat it."'"
(Note: This is a direct translation of the passage provided, and may not be the most accurate interpretation in context.)

[Machine] Umar and Uthman were being punished for insulting.
[Machine] "Umar ibn al-Khattab used to whip those who slandered the women of the Muslim community, and this punishment is confirmed and applicable if proven in court, and Allah knows best."
55.47 [Machine] Who threw a man by adultery with his wife?
