'Abdur-Rahman bin Zaid bin Al-Khattab addressed the people on the day concerning which there was doubt (as to whether the month had begun) and said: "I sat with the Companions of the Messenger of Allah and asked them, and they a narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and perform the rites on that basis. If it is obscured, then complete thirty days, and if two witnesses testify then fast and stop fasting." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2116)

[Machine] He was asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wear a ring?" He replied, "Yes, he would delay the Isha prayer until the middle of the night, then he would pray. After he finished praying, he turned his face towards the people and said, 'The people have prayed and gone to sleep, while you all have been in prayer since you waited for the prayer.' He said, 'It is as if I can see the white glow of his ring.'"
[Machine] From Thabit, it is narrated that they said to Anas ibn Malik, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have a ring?" He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ postponed the Isha prayer one night until half of the night had passed. Then he came and said, 'The people have prayed and you will remain in prayer as long as you wait for the prayer.' Anas said, 'It is as if I am looking at the white ring of his ﷺ from silver.' Anas raised his left hand."

Narrated by Safwan from Yazid ibn Abi Ubayd from Salamah, who said: When we arrived at Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw fires being lit and asked, "Why are these fires being lit?" They said, "For cooking the meat of domestic donkeys." He said, "Break the pots and pour out what is in them." Then a man from the people stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, should we pour out what is in them and wash them?" He said, "Is that necessary?"

[Machine] We went out to the Prophet ﷺ to Khaybar, and a man from the people said, "Which of us, O 'Amir, would you prefer to hear from your poems?" The Prophet replied and he started reciting, "By Allah, if not for Allah we would not have been guided." Then he recited some other poetry but I did not memorize it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Who is this poet?" They said, "It is 'Amir bin Al-Akwa'." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on him." Then a man from the people said, "O Messenger of Allah, if only you would entertain us with it more." So, when they gathered around, he recited the poetry.

Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by some people from the tribe of Aslam practicing archery. He said, "O children of Ishmael! Throw (arrows), for your father was an archer. I am on the side of Bani so-andso," meaning one of the two teams. The other team stopped throwing, whereupon the Prophet ﷺ said, "What has happened to them?" They replied, "How shall we throw while you are with Bani so-andso?" He said, "Throw for I am with all of you." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3507)

Imran ibn Abi Anas, the brother of Banu 'Amir ibn Lu'ayy, who was a trustworthy person according to Abu al-Qasim Miqsam, the client of Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal, narrated to me. He said, "A man from the people of Madinah narrated to me, saying, 'I prayed in the mosque of the Banu Ghifar. When I sat in my prayer, I rested my left thigh and raised my index finger.' Khalaf ibn 'Imarah al-Ghifari saw me doing that, and he was a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. While I was doing that, he said to me, 'O my son, why do you raise your finger like this?' I said, 'I do not deny it; I have seen people doing it.' He said, 'Indeed, you are correct, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do that. The polytheists used to say, "Muhammad practices sorcery with his finger." They lied. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do that to declare the Oneness of his Lord, the Most High and Most Exalted.'"

He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said to him: You did not teach him if he was ignorant; and you did not feed him if he was hungry. He ordered him, so he returned my garment to me, and gave me one or half a wasq (sixty or thirty sa's) of corn. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2620)

[Machine] "A man from the tribe of Tamim came to him (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), so he took a handful of pebbles to distribute among them. Then Ikrimah narrated to me that so-and-so from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ mentioned that Tamim were praised in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A man then said, 'No tribe takes longer than Tamim in this matter.'" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at Muzaynah and said, "What group takes longer than this group?" A man once said, "No people take longer than Tamim in terms of their charitable donations." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Goodness has approached Banu Tamim." Then, a group of red and black camels came to Banu Tamim, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "These are the blessings of my people." A man from Banu Tamim then received something from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "Do not say anything about Banu Tamim except good things, for they have the longest spears against the Dajjal."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was approached by a man wearing a magnificent gold ring. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you pay the Zakat for this?" The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the Zakat for this?" When the man turned away, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A great fire awaits him."
