[AI] Ibn Umar heard the sound of a flute, so he put his fingers in his ears and moved away from the road. He asked me, "O Nafi', do you hear anything?" I replied, "No." Then he removed his fingers from his ears and said, "I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he heard something like this, so he did the same thing."
In a narration by Al-Qadi, he said, "I was traveling with Ibn Umar and he heard the sound of shepherds playing a flute. He left the road and kept asking, 'Do you hear anything?' I said, 'No.' Then he returned to the road and said, 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do this.'"
