When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pronounced salutation, he salutation longer than it took him to say: O Allah: Thou art Peace, and peace comes from Thee, blessed art Thou, Possessor of Glory and ]Honour; and in the narration of Ibn Numair the words are:" O Possessor of Glory and Honour."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ لَمْ يَقْعُدْ إِلاَّ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

After saying the taslim the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say: "Allahumma anta as-salam wa minka as-salam tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram (O Allah, You are the source of eace (or the One free from all faults) and from You comes peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

When the Prophet ﷺ uttered taslim, he used to say: "O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

"When Messenger of Allah said the Salam he would not remain seated except long enough to say: (Allahumma antas-salam, wa minkas-salam, tabarakta dhal jalali wal-Ikram) 'O Allah! You are the One free of defects, and perfection is from You. Blessed are You, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.'"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ لاَ يَقْعُدُ إِلاَّ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the Salam, he would sit only for as long as it took to say: ‘Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam. Tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram. (O Allah, You are As-Salam, From You is all peace, blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour).’”

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ لَمْ يَقْعُدْ إِلاَّ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

“Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram” (O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, Blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour).”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ اسْتَغْفَرَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

When the Prophet ﷺ uttered taslim, he used to say: "O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1512)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

[Machine] The Prophet (PBUH) would not sit after his prayer except for as long as he would say: "O Allah, You are peace, and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honor."

مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَجْلِسُ بَعْدَ صَلَاتِهِ إِلَّا قَدْرَ مَا يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to sit after prayer as much as he would say, "O Allah, You are the Peace, and from You is the Peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor."

مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَجْلِسُ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا قَدْرَ مَا يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ»

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the Salam, he would sit only for as long as it took to say: ‘Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam. Tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram. (O Allah, You are As-Salam, From You is all peace, blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 924)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا يَقْعُدُ بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ إِلَّا قَدْرَ مَا يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ»

After saying the taslim the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say: "Allahumma anta as-salam wa minka as-salam tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram (O Allah, You are the source of eace (or the One free from all faults) and from You comes peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor)." "كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الجَلَالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ"

"عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الجَلَالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ".

"عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُول: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَام وَمِنْكَ السَّلَام تَبَاركْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا ذَا الجْلَال وَالإِكْرَام".

"كَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ لَمْ يَجْلسْ إِلَّا بمقْدَارِ مَا يَقُولُ: "اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ".
