٣٨۔ كِتَابُ الْوَلِيمَةِ ص ٥
Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Apostle ﷺ prohibited that fresh dates and grapes be mixed together and that fresh dates and unripe dates be mixed together. (Using translation from Muslim 1987a)
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرِّ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِيهِ وَعَنِ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَعَنِ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بَيْنَهُمَا»
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade mixing dried dates and raisins, and dried dates and Al-Busr." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5559)

٣٨۔١٢٤ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ
Do not mix fresh dates and dry dates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh. (Using translation from Muslim 1986c)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الرُّطَبِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَلَا الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ»
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade soaking raisins and dried dates together, and he forbade soaking Al-Busr and dried dates together. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5556)

٣٨۔١٢٥ الرُّطَبُ وَالزَّبِيبُ
Do not prepare Nabidh by mixing nearly ripe dates and fresh dates together, and do not prepare Nabidh by mixing grapes and dates together, but prepare Nabidh from each (one of them) separately. (Using translation from Muslim 1988a)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الزَّهْوَ وَالرُّطَبَ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَنْتَبِذُوا الَرَّطُبَ وَالزَّبِيبَ جَمِيعًا وَانْبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ»

٣٨۔١٢٨ تَحْرِيمُ كُلِّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] was asked about mead and he said: "Every drink that intoxicates is unlawful," and mead is made from honey. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5593)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ؟ فَقَالَ «كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ حَرَامٌ» فِي حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ «وَالْبِتْعُ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ»
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Every intoxicant is unlawful.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3387)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ»
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sent me to Yemen and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, there are (different kinds of) drinks there, what should I drink, and what should I refrain from?' He said: 'What are they?' I said: 'Al-Bit' (mead) and Al-Mizr (beer).' He said: 'What are mead and beer?' I said: 'Mead is a drink made from honey and beer is a drink made from grains.' The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Do not drink any intoxicant, for I have forbidden all intoxicants.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5603)
بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ بِهَا أَشْرِبَةً فَمَا أَشْرَبُ وَمَا أَدَعُ؟ قَالَ «وَمَا هِيَ؟» قَالَ الْبِتْعُ وَالْمِزْرُ قَالَ «وَمَا الْبِتْعُ؟ وَمَا الْمِزْرُ؟» قُلْتُ أَمَّا الْبِتْعُ فَنَبِيذُ الْعَسَلِ وَأَمَّا الْمِزْرُ فَنَبِيذُ الذُّرَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ ﷺ «لَا تَشْرَبْ مُسْكِرًا فَإِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ»
"I asked Ibn 'Abbas, when he was leaning back against the Ka'bah, about Badhaq (a drink made from the juice of grapes slightly boiled). He said: 'Muhammad came before Badhaq (i.e., it was not known during his time), but everything that intoxicates in unlawful.'" He said: "I was the first of the 'Arabs to ask him." «سَبَقَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ الْبَاذَقَ وَمَا أَسْكَرَ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ» وَقَالَ أَنَا أَوَّلُ الْعَرَبِ سَأَلَهُ
Yes. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Every intoxicant is forbidden. Verily Allah the Exalted and Majestic, made a covenant to those who drank intoxicants to make their drink Tinat al-Khabal. They said: Messenger of Allah, what is Tinat a]-Khabal? He said: It is the sweat of the denizens of Hell or the discharge of the denizens of Hell. (Using translation from Muslim 2002)
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ جَيْشَانَ وَجَيْشَانُ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمَ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ شَرَابٍ يَشْرَبُونَهُ بِأَرْضِهِمْ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْمِزْرُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَوَ مُسْكِرٌ هُوَ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ إِنَّ اللهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ لِمَنْ شَرِبَ الْمُسْكِرَ يَسْقِيهِ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ «عَرَقُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ أَوْ عُصَارَةُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ»
A man asked about drinks and he said: "Avoid everything that intoxicates." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5696)
«اجْتَنِبْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ يُنْشِي»

٣٨۔١٢٩ تَحْرِيمُ كُلِّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ
The Prophet ﷺ said: If a large amount of anything causes intoxication, a small amount of it is prohibited. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3681)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ فَقَلِيلُهُ حَرَامٌ»
"Intoxicants are unlawful in small or large amounts." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5698)
«الْمُسْكِرُ قَلِيلُهُ وَكَثِيرُهُ حَرَامٌ»
"A man came to Ibn 'Umar and said: 'Our families make drinks for us by soaking (fruits) at night, and in the morning we drink them.' He said: 'I forbid you to drink intoxicants whether in small amounts or large. May Allah bear witness that I forbid you to drink intoxicants whether in small amounts or large. May Allah bear witness that the people of Khaibar used to make drinks by soaking such and such, and they called it such and such but it was Khamr. The people of Fadak used to make drinks by soaking such and such, and they called it such and such but it was Khamr.' And he listed four things, one of which was honey." يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَّ أَهْلَنَا يَنْبِذُونَ لَنَا شَرَابًا عِشَاءً فَإِذَا أَصْبَحْنَا شَرِبْنَاهُ فَقَالَ «أَنْهَاكَ عَنِ الْمُسْكِرِ قَلِيلِهِ وَكَثِيرِهِ وَأُشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْهَاكَ عَنِ الْمُسْكِرِ قَلِيلِهِ وَكَثِيرِهِ وَأُشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْهَاكَ عَنِ الْمُسْكِرِ قَلِيلِهِ وَكَثِيرِهِ وَأُشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَيْكَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ خَيْبَرَ يَنْتَبِذُونَ شَرَابًا مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا يُسَمُّونَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَهِيَ الْخَمْرُ وَإِنَّ أَهْلَ فَدَكٍ يَنْتَبِذُونَ شَرَابًا مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيُسَمُّونَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَهِيَ الْخَمْرُ حَتَّى عَدَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْرِبَةٍ أَحَدُهَا الْعَسَلُ»

"A man said to Ibn 'Umar: 'Did the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbid soaking (fruits) in earthenware jars?' He said: 'Yes.' Tawus said: 'By Allah, I heard that from him.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5614)
قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَقَالَ طَاوُسٌ وَاللهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade earthenware jars, Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Muzaffat containers." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5635)

A paternal uncle of hers whose name was Anas said: "Ibn 'Abbas said: Does not Allah say: "And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it).'? He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Does not Allah say: 'It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I bear witness that the Prophet of Allah [SAW] forbade An-Naqir, Al-Muqayyar, Ad-Dubba', and Al-Hantam.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5644)
قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللهُ {وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوَا} [الحشر 7]؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللهُ {وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ} [الأحزاب 36] قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ «فَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ نَهَى عَنِ النَّقِيرِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ»

٣٨۔١٣٣ الدُّبَّاءُ وَالْمُزَفَّتُ
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Hantam and Al-Muzaffat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5634)
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»
Anas b. Malik reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the preparation of Nabidh in gourd or varnished jar. (Using translation from Muslim 1992a)
أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِيهِمَا»
[Machine] I said to Aisha, "What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit regarding containers?" She said, "He prohibited the use of a vessel made of varnished animal skin and a vessel made of hollowed-out stumps."
قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْأَوْعِيَةِ؟ قَالَتْ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ
[Machine] I asked Aisha, "What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid regarding vessels?" She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) the dubba and the muzaffat."
قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْأَوْعِيَةِ؟ قَالَتْ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the wearing of striped garments, and it was said another time, "and the use of perfume."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَقَالَتْ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَالْمُزَفَّتِ
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds) and Al-Muzaffat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5626)

٣٨۔١٣٤ الْحَنْتَمُ وَالنَّقِيرُ
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , forbade the consumption of wild animals like the hyena, and the meat of the domestic donkeys, and carnivorous animals." Shu'bah said, and he mentioned that Mujaffa'ah, other than Ibn Umar, opposed him; Qatadah said.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ» قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَذَكَرَ الْمُزَفَّتَ غَيْرُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ خَالَفَهُ قَتَادَةُ
[Machine] A delegation from the tribe of Abdul Qais came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he ordered them to do four things and prohibited them from doing four other things. He prohibited them from drinking in pottery vessels, gourds, water-skins, and muzaffat (a type of container). They asked him, "What should we drink from then?" He replied, "You should drink from leather containers that have been rinsed." Dawud bin Abi Hind disagreed with him.
أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَرْبَعٍ وَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ نَهَاهُمْ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ فِي الْحَنْتَمِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قَالُوا فَفِيمَ نَشْرَبُ؟ قَالَ «عَلَيْكُمْ بِأَسْقِيَةِ الْأُدْمِ وَالَّتِي يُلَاثُ عَلَى أَفْوَاهِهَا» خَالَفَهُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the delegation of Abd Al-Qays from practicing hunting using wild animals, such as Dhabaa', Hannatam, Nadeer, and Muzaffat.
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ أَنْ يَنْتَبِذُوا فِيهِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not prohibit it, but his companions fell into the trap of Khaibar, so he forbade them from it.
«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يُحَرِّمْهُ وَلَكِنْ أَصْحَابُهُ وَقَعُوا فِي جِرَارِ خَيْبَرَ فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْهُ»

٣٨۔١٣٥ النَّهْيُ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the wine of the jar." Abu Abdur-Rahman said that Yahya bin Sa'id disagreed with him [290] 6807. Amru bin Ali told us, Yahya said, Hisham said, Muhammad told us from Abu Al-Alaniyah from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the wine of the jar. Abu Abdur-Rahman said that Abu Al-Alaniyah is correct and the one before him is mistaken, and Allah knows best. Yazid bin Abi Sa'id disagreed with him.
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خَالَفَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ [290] 6807 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلانِيَةِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو الْعَلانِيَةَ الصَّوَابُ وَالَّذِي قَبْلَهُ خَطَأٌ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ خَالَفَهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ
[Machine] It was reported that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ prohibited drinking alcohol, but Al-Fadl ibn Musa went against this.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ» خَالَفَهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى
[Machine] "Regarding the wine of Jar, Thabit Al-Bunani differed from it."
عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ» خَالَفَهُ ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah prohibited the consumption of intoxicating drinks." Said Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, and this hadith has been narrated from Ibn 'Umar from 'Umar from the Prophet, ﷺ , with a slightly different wording."
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ
It was narrated from ʿAli ؓ that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade gourds and varnished jars. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1180)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»

٣٨۔١٣٦ الرُّخْصَةُ فِي نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ
The Prophet [SAW] granted a concession allowing earthenware jars that are not coated with pitch. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5650)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «رَخَّصَ فِي الْجَرِّ غَيْرِ الْمُزَفَّتِ»
«كَانَ النَّبِيذُ الَّذِي شَرِبَهُ عُمَرُ قَدْ تَخَلَّلَ»
[Machine] "He drank paint, and I am curious about what he drank, if it intoxicates his skin, then the punishment for him should be a complete lashing according to the law."
أَنَّهُ شَرِبَ الطِّلَاءَ وَأَنَا سَائِلٌ عَمَّا شَرِبَ فَإِنْ كَانَ يُسْكِرُ جَلَدْتُهُ فَجَلَدَهُ عُمَرُ الْحَدَّ تَامًّا»
38.137 [Machine] The mention of permissible beverages
٣٨۔١٣٧ ذِكْرُ الْأَشْرِبَةِ الْمُبَاحَةِ
"The drink most beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the sweet, cool drink." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1895)
«كَانَ أَحَبُّ الشَّرَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْحُلْوَ الْبَارِدَ»
[Machine] Abdullah was brought a drink, so he said, "Offer it to Alqamah." He said, "I am fasting." Abdullah said, "Offer it to Al Aswad." He said, "I am fasting." Abdullah said, "Offer it to so-and-so." He said, "I am fasting." So all of them said, "I am fasting." Abdullah then said, "Indeed, I am not fasting." He took it and drank, then he said, "They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned." [Surah An-Nur, 37]
أُتِيَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بِشَرَابٍ فَقَالَ نَاوِلْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ قَالَ نَاوِلِ الْأَسْوَدَ قَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ قَالَ نَاوِلْ فُلَانًا قَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَكُلُّهُمْ يَقُولُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ بِصَائِمٍ فَأَخَذَ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ قَالَ {يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُ} [النور 37]
"The people have invented new drinks and I do not know what they are. I have not drunk anything for 20 years (or he said: 40 years) except water and Sawiq (barley gruel), and he did not mention Nabidh." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5755)
أَحْدَثَ النَّاسُ أَشْرِبَةً مَا أَدْرِي مَا هِيَ وَمَا لِي شَرَابٌ مُنْذُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً أَوْ قَالَ «أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً إِلَّا الْمَاءَ وَالسَّوِيقَ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ النَّبِيذَ»
[Machine] The translation of the passage into English is: "Ali has been disagreeing about drinks, so I haven't had any drink except milk, honey, or water for twenty years."
«اخْتَلَفَ عَلِيٌّ فِي الْأَشْرِبَةِ فَمَا لِي شَرَابٌ مُنْذُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً إِلَّا لَبَنٌ أَوْ عَسَلٌ أَوْ مَاءٌ»
I met 'A'isha and asked her about Nabidh (that was served to the Holy Prophet). 'A'isha called an Abyssinian maid (servant) and said: Ask her (about it) for it was he, who prepared the Nabidh for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Abyssinian (maid-servant) said: I prepared Nabidh for him in a waterskin in the night and tied its mouth and then suspended it; and when it was morning he (the Holy Prophet) drank from it. عَنِ النَّبِيذِ وَدَعَتْ جَارِيَةً حَبَشِيَّةً فَقَالَتْ سَلْ هَذِهِ فَإِنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَنْبِذُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتِ الْحَبَشِيَّةُ «كُنْتُ أَنْبِذُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سِقَاءٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأُوكِيهِ وَأُعَلِّقُهُ فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ شَرِبَ»
It was the night of Monday. He drank it on Monday and on Tuesday up to the afternoon, and If anything was left out of it he gave it to his servant or poured it out. (Using translation from Muslim 2004b)
ذَكَرُوا النَّبِيذَ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُنْبَذُ لَهُ فِي سِقَاءٍ» قَالَ شُعْبَةُ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ الِاثْنَيْنِ فَيَشْرَبُهُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالثُّلَاثَاءِ إِلَى الْعَصْرِ
[Machine] He would be rejected by the Prophet ﷺ throughout the evening, and then when morning came, he would spend his day and night at the midwife's place.
«كَانَ يُنْبَذُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَشِيَّةً فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ شَرِبَ يَوْمَهُ وَلَيْلَتَهُ إِلَى الْقَابِلَةِ وَالْغَدِ»
Nabidh of raisins would be made for him in a water skin in the morning, and he would drink it that night, and it would be made for him in the evening, and he would drink it in the morning. He would wash out the water skins and not leave any pieces or anything in them. Nafi' said: "We used to drink it like honey." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5740)
«أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُنْبَذُ لَهُ فِي سِقَاءٍ لِلزَّبِيبِ غُدْوَةً فَيَشْرَبُهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَيُنْبَذُ عَشِيَّةً وَيَشْرَبُهُ غُدْوَةً وَكَانَ يَغْسِلُ الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَلَا يُجْعَلُ فِيهَا دُرْدِيًّا وَلَا شَيْئًا» قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَكُنَّا نَشْرَبُهُ مِثْلَ الْعَسَلِ
[Machine] Ibn 'Umar used to be given raisins for dinner, but he would drink them in the morning. He would also be given raisins for breakfast, but he would drink them in the evening.
كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «يُنْبَذُ لَهُ الزَّبِيبُ عِشَاءً فَيَشْرَبُهُ غُدْوَةً وَيُنْبَذُ لَهُ غُدْوَةً فَيَشْرَبُهُ عِشَاءً»
