[Machine] He came one day and sat in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said to him, "Sit, my son, and say 'Bismillah' (in the name of Allah), and eat with your right hand, and eat from what is in front of you." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, "This is the correct way according to us, and Allah knows best, and success is from Allah."

When a man enters his house and mention Allah’s name on entering and on his food, the devil says: You have no place to spend the night and no evening meal; but when he enters without mentioning Allah’s name on entering, the devil says: You have found a place to spend the night, and when he does not mention Allah’s name at his food, he says: You have found a place to spend the night and an evening meal. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3765)
38.97 [Machine] If one forgets the remembrance, then remembers
[Machine] My grandfather, Umayyah bin Makhshi, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man eating without mentioning the name of Allah. When he was in his last morsel, he said, "In the name of Allah, the first of it and the last of it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The devil kept eating with him until he mentioned the name of Allah, then the devil vomited out everything he ate."
38.98 [Machine] Eating of a person from what follows him when there is someone eating with him
I was a boy under the care of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and my hand used to go around the dish while I was eating. So Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'O boy! Mention the Name of Allah and eat with your right hand, and eat of the dish what is nearer to you." Since then I have applied those instructions when eating. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5376)

[Machine] "I went with the Prophet ﷺ to the house of one of his companions, who was a tailor. He brought us a plate containing a lizard, and the Prophet ﷺ started to observe the lizard eating it. Since that day, I have always loved lizards."

[Machine] My father said to my mother, "If you were to prepare a meal for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and you made a dish called "Tharid", and he said with his hand, 'Reduce it,' my father then went and called him. He placed his hand on the edge of the dish and said, 'Take in the name of Allah.' They took from it and when they tasted it, he prayed for them. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, and bless them, and provide for them.' The rest of Al-Walid disagreed with him."
[Machine] My mother said to my father, "If we prepare food for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and you invite him." So we did, and we prepared for him a dish of meat with ghee. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and entered the house, and my mother placed a cushion for him and gathered it for him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it, so we placed it for him. He said, "Take in the name of Allah," and he pointed to the edge of it with his three fingers. When he finished, we said, "Pray to Allah for us, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "O Allah, have mercy on them, forgive them, and bless them in their sustenance."
38.102 [Machine] If the morsel falls
If the morsel of one of you falls down, he should wipe away anything injurious on it and eat it and not leave it for the devil. And he ordered us to clean the dish, for one of you does not leave it for the devil. And he ordered us to clean the dish, for one of you does not know in what part of his food the blessing lies. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3845)

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3349)

A man used to eat much, but when he embraced Islam, he started eating less. That was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ who then said, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food) and a Kafir eats in seven intestines (eats much). " (Using translation from Bukhārī 5397)

38.113 [Machine] The cause or reason behind licking.
When any one of you drops a mouthful he should pick it up and remove any of the filth on it, and then eat it, and should not leave it for the Satan, and should not wipe his hand with towel until he has licked his fingers, for he does not know in what portion of the food the blessing lies. (Using translation from Muslim 2033b)

I heard ʿUmar while he was on the pulpit of the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Now then O people! The revelation about the prohibition of alcoholic drinks was revealed; and alcoholic drinks are extracted from five things: Grapes, dates, honey, wheat and barley. And the alcoholic drink is that which confuses and stupefies the mind." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4619)
