I heard 'Uthman b. 'Affan say that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had stated: A Muhrim must neither marry himself, nor arrange the marriage of another one, nor should he make the proposal of marriage.
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَنَّفَقَالَ أَبَانٌ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكَحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ

A Muhrim should neither marry himself, nor should he be got married to anyone, nor should he make the proposal of marriage.
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكَحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ
A Muhrim should neithermarry (in that state) nor make the proposal of marriage.
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُحْرِمُ لاَ يَنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Muhrim should not get married, or arrange a marriage for someone else, or propose marriage.'"
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَنَّ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ؓ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ
"The Muhrim should not get married, arrange a marriage for someone else, nor propose marriage."
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ؓ حَدَّثَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Muhrim should not get married, or propose marriage, or arrange a marriage for some else.'"
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَنَّ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ وَلاَ يُنْكِحُ
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The one in lhram should not get married, nor arrange a marriage for anyone else, nor Propose marriage''
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمُحْرِمُ لاَ يَنْكِحُ وَلاَ يُنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ
Yahya related to me from Malik, from Nafi, from Nubayh ibn Wahb, who was from the tribe of Bani Abd ad-Dar, that Umar ibn Ubaydullah sent a message to Aban ibn Uthman (who was amir of the hajj at the time), while both of them were in ihram, saying, "I want to marry Bint Shayba ibn Jubayr to Talha ibn Umar and I want you to be present." Aban told him that he should not do that and said, "I heard Uthman ibn Affan say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A man in ihram should not marry, or give in marriage, or get betrothed.' "
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَأَبَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَمِيرُ الْحَاجِّ وَهُمَا مُحْرِمَانِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُنْكِحَ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُمَرَ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَحْضُرَ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ أَبَانُ وَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَنْكِحِ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكِحْ وَلاَ يَخْطُبْ
ʿThe pilgrim in ihram should not get married, arrange a marriage or propose marriage.ʿ
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَعَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلا يُنْكِحُ وَلا يَخْطُبُ
ʿThe pilgrim in ihram should not get married, arrange a marriage or propose marriage.”
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلا يُنْكِحُ وَلا يَخْطُبُ
“The pilgrim in ihram should not get married, arrange a marriage or propose marriage.ʿ
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَعَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ
ʿThe pilgrim in ihram should not get married, arrange a marriage or propose marriage.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 401)
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ»
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Muhrim should not get married, or propose marriage, or arrange a marriage for some else.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2842)
سَمِعْتُ نُبَيْهَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ أَبَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ»
ʿThe pilgrim in ihram should not get married, arrange a marriage or propose marriage.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 401)
عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ»
