Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Sulayman ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in the prayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Sulayman ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in the prayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ
Ibn ʿUmar (while on a journey) used to offer the prayer and the witr on his mount (Rahila). He said that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ
On traveling, ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to offer the prayer on his Mount by signs whatever direction it took. ʿAbdullah said that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ
Narrated Nafi', 'Whenever Ibn 'Umar finished his morning Salat at Dhul-Hulaifa he would get his Rahila (mount) prepared. Then, he would ride on it, and after it had stood up straight (ready to set out), he would face Al-Qiblah (the Ka,bah at Makkah) while sitting (on his mount) and recite Talbiya. When he had reached the boundaries of the Haram (or Makkah), he would stop recitation of Talbiya till he reached Dhi-Tuwa (near Makkah) where he would pass the night till it was dawn. After offering the morning Salat, he would take a bath. He claimed that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had done the same.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ
The Apostle of Allah ﷺ used to be brief and perfect in prayer.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوجِزُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَيُتِمُّ
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to embrace (his wives) while fasting. (Using translation from Muslim 1106f)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»
[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands (in supplication) whenever he stood up for prayer."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقُومُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَدًّا»
[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his right hand over his left hand, close to the wrist."
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَضَعُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى قَرِيبًا مِنَ الرُّسْغِ»
It was narrated from Maimunah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on a mat. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 738)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ»
The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) performed Hajj exclusively (without performing ʿUmrah in the beginning). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1777)
عَنْهَا «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ»
It was narrated from ʿAli ؓ that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray at the time of the forenoon (duha).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ الضُّحَى
Nafi’ said Ibn ‘Umar walked proudly (ramal) from the corner (Black Stone) to the corner (Black Stone) and mentioned that the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ had done so. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1891)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ
Ibn ʿUmar (while on a journey) used to offer the prayer and the witr on his mount (Rahila). He said that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1095)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ
Nafi' said: Ibn Umar used to lengthen his prayer before the Friday prayer and would offer two rak'ahs after it in his house. He used to say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would do that. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1128)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي السَّفَرِ
[AI] The translation of the given Arabic text into English is: "It is reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands up to the level of his shoulders when entering prayer, and when he would bow down and when he would rise from bowing."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ
My father said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say "Samiʿa l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd." And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations. أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ
[AI] In English, it translates to: "Verily, the Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hands parallel to his shoulders when saying the takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) and when initiating the prayer, as well as when going into ruku' (bowing) and when going into sujud (prostration)."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ وَحِينَ يَرْكَعُ وَحِينَ يَسْجُدُ
Ibn Umar used to pray witr on his camel and he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ used to do that. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1687)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ لَا يَرُدُّ الطِّيبَ
The Prophet ﷺ used to make a sign during prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 943)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be the most lenient of people in prayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ تَخْفِيفًا فِي الصَّلَاةِ
[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed in his book those who did such a thing."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ فِي صَحِيفَتِهِ مَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ
[AI] He informed him that the Prophet ﷺ was the most lenient of people in performing prayers.
أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ كَانَ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ تَخْفِيفًا فِي الصَّلَاةِ
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his right hand over his left in prayer, and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Ibn Abi Bukayr.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَضَعُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْيُسْرَى، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي بَكَيْرٍ.
[AI] And he said, "So did the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ."
وَقَالَ كَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
[AI] The translation of the given passage into English is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in the Kaaba."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي الْكَعْبَةِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray in the room while I was in the house, and he would separate between the two units of prayer with a tasleem (saying "As-Salamu Alaykum") that we could hear.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي الْحُجْرَةِ وَأَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ فَيَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ الشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ بِتَسْلِيمٍ يُسْمِعُنَاهُ
[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while I was between him and the Qiblah.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ

It was narrated from ‘Alqamah that Ibn Mas’ud prostrated twice for the prostrations of forgetfulness after the Salam, and he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ did that.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1218)
وَقَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ
[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spread his fingers during prayer is narrated by Sa'id ibn Sam'an, a well-known follower from the people of Madinah."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يَنْشُرُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ نَشْرًا» «سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَمْعَانَ تَابِعِيٌّ مَعْرُوفٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite the verse 'In a fortified city' [Quran 18:86]"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ {فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ} [الكهف 86]
[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spread his fingers during prayer."
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنْشُرُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ نَشْرًا»
[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us."
«صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
[AI] "May the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray for us."
«صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
[AI] The translation of the phrase "صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ" into English is "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us."
«صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to gesture during prayer."
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ السَّدْلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ»
"I heard Ibn 'Umar say: 'We used to sell grain before it was ripe and before it was evident that it was free of disease and blight (by means of Al-Mukhabarah). We did not see anything wrong with that, until Rafi' bin Khadij said that the Messenger of Allah had forbidden Al-Mukhabarah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3917)
