It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that when the dawn illuminated, the Prophet ﷺ would pray two Rak’ah. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1143)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ

When it was dawn, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed two rak'ahs, and I would say: Does he recite only the opening chapter of the Qur'an in it?
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَقُولُ هَلْ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ
Salim narrated on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe two rak'ahs after Jumu'a.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
"The Prophet would pray two Rak'ah after Al-Witr."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْوِتْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
"When the dawn appears, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would only pray two short Rak'ahs."
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ لاَ يُصَلِّي إِلاَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ
"Hafsah told me that when dawn glowed, the Prophet ﷺ would pray two rak'ahs.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَضَاءَ لَهُ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to pray the two rak'ahs of Fajr, two brief rak'ahs.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two brief rak'ahs between the call (The adhan) and the Iqamah, the two rak'ahs of Fajr.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَيْنَ النِّدَاءِ وَالإِقَامَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ
Told him that when the Muaddhin fell silent, Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray two brief rak'ahs.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ
"My sister Hafsah told me that he used to pray two brief rak'ahs before Fajr."
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray two rak'ahs when dawn had broken.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ
"When dawn came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not pray anything but two brief rak'ahs."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ»
