The Prophet ﷺ said: people of two different religions would not inherit from one another.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ شَتَّى

"The people of two religions do not inherit from each other."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ

“People of two different religions do not inherit from one another.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ

I am not afraid to be told what I do not know, but I am afraid to be told what I have done.

مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى نَفْسِي أَنْ يُقَالَ لِي مَا عَلِمْتَ وَلَكِنْ أَخَافُ أَنْ يُقَالَ لِي مَاذَا عَمِلْتَ؟

«لَا يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ»

[AI] "Umar ibn Al-Khattab said: 'Two different religions cannot be inherited, and one cannot be hidden from those who do not inherit.'"

عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ «لَا يَتَوَارَثُ مِلَّتَانِ شَتَّى وَلَا يَحْجُبُ مَنْ لَا يَرِثُ»

Qays ibn Talq said: Talq ibn Ali visited us on a certain day during Ramadan. He remained with us till evening and broke fast with us. He then stood up and led us in the witr prayer. Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali from Umar ibn Uthman ibn Affan from Usama ibn Zayd that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A muslim does not inherit from a kafir."
