[Machine] A group of people were sitting at the door of the Prophet ﷺ, and some of them said, "Did not Allah say such and such?" and some said, "Did not Allah say such and such?" When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard that, he came out as if his face had been slapped with pomegranate seeds, and said, "Is this what you were commanded to do? Is this why you were sent? To strike the Book of Allah against each other? Indeed, the nations before you were only led astray by such matters. You are not in anyway like that. Look at what you were commanded to do and adhere to it, and what you were forbidden from and refrain from it."  

أَنَّ نَفَرًا كَانُوا جُلُوسًا بِبَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ كَأَنَّمَا فُقِئَ فِي وَجْهِهِ حَبُّ الرُّمَّانِ فَقَالَ بِهَذَا أُمِرْتُمْ؟ أَوْ بِهَذَا بُعِثْتُمْ؟ أَنْ تَضْرِبُوا كِتَابَ اللهِ بَعْضَهُ بِبَعْضٍ؟ إِنَّمَا ضَلَّتِ الْأُمَمُ قَبْلَكُمْ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا إِنَّكُمْ لَسْتُمْ مِمَّا هَاهُنَا فِي شَيْءٍ انْظُرُوا الَّذِي أُمِرْتُمْ بِهِ فَاعْمَلُوا بِهِ وَالَّذِي نُهِيتُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا
