"I came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] while he was riding, and I put my hand on his foot and said: 'Teach me Surah Hud, teach me Surah Yusuf. He said: 'You will never recite anything more precious before Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, than: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak.'"

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ أَقْرِئْنِي سُورَةَ هُودٍ أَقْرِئْنِي سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ شَيْئًا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ﷻ مِنْ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ }

"I followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was riding, and I placed my hand on his foot and said : O Messenger of Allah, teach me Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf. He said: 'You will never recite anything greater before Allah than: "Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak." And "Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind.'"

اتَّبَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ أَقْرِئْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سُورَةَ هُودٍ وَسُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ شَيْئًا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ } وَ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ }

"I followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was riding, and I placed my hand on his foot and said : O Messenger of Allah, teach me Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf. He said: 'You will never recite anything greater before Allah than: "Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak." And "Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind.'" تَبِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى يَدِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرِئْنِي مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ وَمِنْ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ شَيْئًا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ»

[Machine] I followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was riding, so I put my hand on his foot and said, "Teach me a chapter of the Quran, such as Surah Hud or Surah Yusuf." He said, "You will not recite anything that is more beneficial to seek refuge with Allah than saying, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.'"

اتَّبَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ أَقْرِئْنِي مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ أَو سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ قَالَ «لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِشَيْءٍ أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ once while he was riding, so I placed my hand on his foot and said, "O Messenger of Allah, recite for me a verse from Surah Hud or from Surah Yusuf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Uqbah ibn Amir, you will not recite a surah that is more beloved to Allah and more reach in virtue than reciting 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of Daybreak,' if you can ensure that you do not miss it in your prayers, then do so."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْرِئْنِي مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ وَإِمَّا مِنْ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عُقْبَةُ بْنَ عَامِرٍ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِسُورَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ وَأَبْلَغَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ أَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا تَفُوتَكَ فِي صَلَاةٍ فَافْعَلْ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was riding on his white mule. I placed my hand on his foot and said, "O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to recite." He said, "You will not recite anything more beneficial in the sight of Allah than 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak' (Quran 113:1)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الْبَيْضَاءِ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْرِئْنِي قَالَ «إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِشَيْءٍ أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ»

"I followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was riding, and I placed my hand on his foot and said : O Messenger of Allah, teach me Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf.
