"I was walking with the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he said: "O 'Uqbah, say!' I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' He did not answer me, then h esaid: 'O 'Uqbah, say!' I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' But he did not answer me. I said: 'O Allah, make him answer me.' He said: 'O 'Uqbah, say!' I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak...' So I recited it until I came to the end. Then he said: 'Say,' and I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind...,' so I recited it until I came to the end. Then the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'No one who asks has ever asked by means of anything like them, and no one who seeks refuge has ever sought refuge with anything like them.'" [Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, teach me a surah from Surah Yusuf or Surah Hud." He said, "O Uqbah, recite Qul a'udhu bi Rabbil-Falaq (Chapter 113) for indeed, you will not recite a surah more beloved to Allah and more beneficial for you than it. I had too much respect for the Messenger of Allah [SAW] to ride the mount of the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. Then he said: 'Why don't you ride, O 'Uqbah?' I was worried that I might be disobeying him, so he got off, and I rode for a little while, then I got off and the Messenger of Allah [SAW] rode. Then he said: 'Shall I not teach you two of the best Surahs that the people recite?' And he taught me: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak,' and 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind." Then the Iqamah was said and he went forward and recited them. Then he passed by me and said: 'What do you think, O 'Uqbah bin 'Amir? Recite them every time you go to sleep and get up.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5437)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand on his chest and said, "Say." I did not know what to say, so he said to me, "Say." I said, "Say, He is Allah, the One." Then he said to me, "Say." I said, "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak from the evil of what He has created." I continued until I finished, and then he said to me, "Say." I said, "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind." I continued until I finished it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is how you should seek refuge, and no one has ever sought refuge in the like of these before." Briefly, Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, this is a mistake.
