46.38 [Machine] Seeking Refuge from the Evil Eye

٤٦۔٣٨ الِاسْتِعَاذَةُ مِنْ عَيْنِ الْجَانِّ

nasai-kubra:7877Hilāl b. al-ʿAlāʾ > Saʿīd b. Sulaymān > ʿAbbād > al-Jurayrī > Abū Naḍrah > Abū Saʿīd

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge from the evil eye of the jinn and of mankind. When the Mu’awwidhatain* were revealed, he started to recite them and stopped reciting anything else.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3511)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٧٨٧٧أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ عَيْنِ الْجَانِّ وَعَيْنِ الْإِنْسِ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَانِ أَخَذَ بِهِمَا وَتَرَكَ مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ»
