Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered (Makkah) in the year of the Conquest (of Makkah) wearing a helmet over his head. After he took it off, a man came and said, "Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Kill him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Mecca in the year of its Conquest wearing an Arabian helmet on his head and when the Prophet ﷺ took it off, a person came and said, "Ibn Khatal is holding the covering of the Kaʿba (taking refuge in the Kaʿba)." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Kill him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

On the day of the Conquest, the Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca, wearing a helmet on his head. When he took it off, a man came and said, "Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtain of the Kaʿba." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Kill him." (Malik a sub-narrator said, "On that day the Prophet ﷺ was not in a state of Ihram as it appeared to us, and Allah knows better.")

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلْهُ قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَلَمْ يَكُنِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِيمَا نُرَى وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُحْرِمًا

Ibn Khatal is hanging on to the curtains of the Ka'ba, whereupon he said: Kill him. Malik (one of the narrators) attested this statement having been made.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِغْفَرٌ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ فَقَالَ مَالِكٌ نَعَمْ

"Kill him."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَيْهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَقِيلَ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

Anas bin Malik said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ entered Makkah in the year of the conquest (of Makkah) wearing a helmet on his head. When he took off it a man came to him and said “Ibn Akhtal is hanging with the curtains of the Ka’bah.” He said “Kill him”. Abu Dawud said “The name of Ibn Akhtal is ‘Abd Allaah and Abu Barzat Al Aslami killed him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

The Prophet ﷺ entered (Makkah) during they year of the Conquest, and upon his head was a helmet (Mighfar). It was said to him: 'Ibn Khatal is clinging to the covering of the Ka'bah.' So he said: 'Kill him.'"

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makka, in the Year of Victory, wearing a helmet, and when he took it off a man came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, Ibn Khatal is clinging to the covers of the Kaba,'' and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill him." Malik commented, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not in ihram at the time, and Allah knows best."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah on the Day of the Conquest while wearing a cloak. A man approached and said, "This is the son of Khatal, hanging on the curtains." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill him."

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَيْهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ هَذَا ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِالْأَسْتَارِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اقْتُلُوهُ

[Machine] We were informed by Al-Qa'nabi, Al-hajabi, and Abu al-Walid who said: Malik ibn Anas narrated to us from Al-Zuhri from Anas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah and had a turban on his head. When he took it off, it was said, "This is the son of Khatl, hanging by the Kaaba's curtains." So he said, "Kill him."

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ وَالْحَجَبِيُّ وَأَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا وَضَعَهُ قِيلَ «هَذَا ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةَ فَقَالَ «اقْتُلُوهُ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اقْتُلُوهُ»

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah in the year of the conquest, wearing an 'imamah (head covering). When he removed it, a man came to him and said, "Indeed, the son of Khatam is hanging onto the curtains of the Kaaba." He (the Messenger of Allah) said, "Kill him." Malik said, "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not in a state of ihram (ritual consecration) that day."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُحْرِمًا

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم دخل يوم مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ ابْنَ خَطْلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ

"عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الفَتْح عَلَى رَأسِهِ مِغْفَرٌ، فَلَمَّا أَنْ دَخَلَ نَزَعَهُ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ يا رسولَ الله: هَذَا ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلقٌ بِأسْتَارِ الكَعْبَةِ، فَقَالَ: اقْتُلُوهُ".
