That heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "We are the last but will be the foremost to enter Paradise)." The Prophet added, "He who obeys me, obeys Allah, and he who disobeys me, disobeys Allah. He who obeys the chief, obeys me, and he who disobeys the chief, disobeys me. The Imam is like a shelter for whose safety the Muslims should fight and where they should seek protection. If the Imam orders people with righteousness and rules justly, then he will be rewarded for that, and if he does the opposite, he will be responsible for that."  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ الأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِي وَمَنْ يَعْصِ الأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ عَصَانِي وَإِنَّمَا الإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ فَإِنْ أَمَرَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَعَدَلَ فَإِنَّ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ أَجْرًا وَإِنْ قَالَ بِغَيْرِهِ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily the Imam is a shield, say prayer sitting when he says prayer sitting. And when he says:" Allah listens to him who praises Him," say:" O Allah, our Lord, to Thee be the praise." and when the utterance of the people of the earth synchronises with that of the beings of heaven (angels), all the previous sins would be pardoned.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا الإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ فَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ فَإِذَا وَافَقَ قَوْلُ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ قَوْلَ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever obeys me, obeys Allah, and whoever disobeys me, disobeys Allah, and whoever obeys the ruler I appoint, obeys me, and whoever disobeys him, disobeys me." (Using translation from Bukhārī 7137)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَ الْأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِي وَمَنْ عَصَى الْأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ عَصَانِي وَالْأَمِيرُ مِجَنٌّ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا وَافَقَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَكُمْ وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا  

[Machine] Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has indeed disobeyed Allah. Whoever obeys the leader has indeed obeyed me, for the leader is like a fortress. If someone prays while sitting, then everyone should pray sitting or kneeling. When he says 'Sami Allahu liman hamidah' (Allah hears whoever praises Him), then say 'Rabbana lakal hamd' (Our Lord, praise is for You). For when the saying of the people of the earth coincides with the saying of the people of the heavens, his previous sins will be forgiven."  

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مِنْ فِيهِ إِلَى فِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺيَقُولُ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَ الْأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِي إِنَّمَا الْأَمِيرُ مِجَنٌّ فَإِنْ صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا أَوْ قُعُودًا فَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا وَافَقَ قَوْلُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ قَوْلَ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا مَضَى مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ  

"مَنْ أَطَاعنِى فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ الله، ﷻ ومن عَصَانِى فَقَدْ عصى اللهَ، ومنْ يُطِعِ الأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِى، ومَن يَعْصِ الأميرَ فَقَدْ عَصَانِى وَإنَّما الإِمَامُ جُنَّة يُقَاتَلُ مِن وَرَائِه وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ، فإِن أَمرَ بتَقْوى اللهِ وَعَدَلَ كَانَ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ أَجْرٌ، وإِنْ قال بِغَيرِه كَانَ علَيه مِنْه".  

"إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمامُ جُنَّةً، فإِذا صلَّى قاعدًا فصلوُّا قعُودًا، وإِذا قال سمع اللَّه لمن حمده فقولوا: اللهمَّ ربنَّا لك الحمدُ، فإِذا وافق قول أَهِل الأَرضِ قولَ أَهلِ السماءِ غُفر له ما تقدمَ من ذَنبه".
