[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to say: "When one of you prays, let him say, 'O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from You turning Your face away from me on the Day of Resurrection. O Allah, cleanse me from my sins as You have cleansed the white garment from filth. O Allah, grant me a life as a Muslim and let me die as a Muslim."  

الطبراني:٧٠٤٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ السَّمُرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ اللهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطِيئَتِي كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ اللهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ تَصُدَّ عَنِّي وَجْهَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اللهُمَّ نَقِّنِي عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ اللهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَمِتْنِي مُسْلِمًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept silence between the takbir and the recitation of Qur’an. So I asked him, for whom I would give my father and mother as ransom: What do you say during you period of silence between the takbir and the recitation? He replied (that he said): O Allah, purify me from sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O Allah, wash away my sings with snow, water and hail. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 781)   

ابن حبّان:١٧٧٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَبَّرَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ سَكَتَ هُنَيْهَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي أَرَأَيْتَ سُكُوتَكَ بَيْنَ التَّكْبِيرِ وَالْقِرَاءَةِ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ «أَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "O Allah create a distance between me and my and sins as much as the distance you have made between the East and the West. And cleanse me from my faults and sins just as you cleansed a white garment ifrom dirt and filth."
