I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When anyone lands at a place, and then says:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of what He has created," nothing would harm him until he marches from that stopping place.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلاً ثُمَّ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ شَىْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِهِ ذَلِكَ

“If anyone of you, when he stops to camp (while on a journey), says A’udhu bi kalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created), then nothing will harm him in that place until he moves on.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلاً قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَىْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ

“If anyone of you, when he stops to camp (while on a journey), says A’udhu bi kalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created), then nothing will harm him in that place until he moves on.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3547)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ

[AI] "I did not sleep tonight because a scorpion stung me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If you had said in the evening, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' it would not have harmed you.'"

مَا نِمْتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ لَدَغَتْنِي عَقْرَبٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَا لَوْ قُلْتَ حِينَ أَمْسَيْتَأَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Whoever enters a house and says, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, nothing will harm him until he leaves it."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَظْعَنَ مِنْهُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ كُلِّهَا مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَظْعَنَ عَنْهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a Muslim enters a house and says, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' and then says it three times, nothing harmful will come to him from that house until he leaves it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَنْزِلُ مَنْزِلًا فَيَقُولُ حِينَ يَنْزِلُ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا وُقِيَ شَرَّ مَنْزِلِهِ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَظْعَنَ مِنْهُ

Malik related to me from a reliable source of his from Yaqub ibn Abdullah al-Ashajj from Bushr ibn Said from Sad ibn Abi Waqqas from Khawla bint Hakim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dismounts to rest in a place should say, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what he created,' (audhu bi kalimati-llahi at-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa), and nothing will harm him until he remounts."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلاً فَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يَضُرَّهُ شَىْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, if you were to say before you sleep, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, it will not harm you, Allah willing."

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ « «أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ قُلْتَ حِينَ أَمْسَيْتَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ»

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا نَزَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنْزِلًا فَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضُرُّهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ»

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "When one of you enters his home, let him say 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, for nothing can harm him until he leaves it.'"

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا نَزَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنْزِلًا فَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضُرَّهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever enters a house and says, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, nothing will harm him in that house until he leaves it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you enters a house and says, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' nothing from that house will harm him until he leaves."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever enters a dwelling and says, 'I seek refuge with the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, nothing will harm him in that dwelling until he departs from it.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ كُلِّهَا مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَظْعَنَ مِنْهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If one of you enters a house and says, 'I seek refuge in the words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' nothing harmful will come to him in that house until he leaves."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ 10320 أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ was bitten, and it affected him as Allah willed. This news reached the Prophet ﷺ, who said, “Indeed, if he had said 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' it would not have harmed him (the man).”

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لُدِغَ فَبَلَغَ مِنْهُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says, when evening comes, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, it will not harm him any harm that night, three times."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ لَسْعَةُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ

"إِذَا نزلَ أحدَكُمْ مَنزْلًا فليقُلْ: أعوذُ بكلماتِ الله التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شرِّ ما خَلقَ، فإِنّه لا يَضرُّه شيءٌ حتَّى يرْتَحلِ مِنْه" .

"لَوْ أنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا قَال: أعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ الله التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلقَ، لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ المَنْزِل شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ".
