The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (i.e. camel for sacrifice) and said to him, "Ride on it." The man said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! It is a Bandana." (The Prophet ﷺ repeated his order) and on the third or fourth time he said, "Ride it, (woe to you" or said: "May Allah be merciful to you).

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ أَوْ وَيْحَكَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana and said to him, "Ride on it," and on the second or the third time he added, "Woe to you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving his Badana (sacrificial camel). He said, "Ride on it." The man said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride on it." He (the man) said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet said, "Ride on it." And on the second or the third time he (the Prophet ﷺ ) added, "Woe to you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana. He said, "Ride on it." The man replied, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said (again), "Ride on it." He (the man) said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said thrice, "Ride on it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا ثَلاَثًا

Abu Huraira said, "The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (sacrificial camel). The Prophet ﷺ said (to him), 'Ride on it.' He replied, 'It is a Badana.' The Prophet ﷺ again said, 'Ride on it!' Abu Huraira added, 'Then I saw that man riding it, showing obedience to the Prophet ﷺ, and a shoe was (hanging) from its neck.' " Narrated Abu Huraira: From the Prophet: (as above).

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ رَاكِبَهَا يُسَايِرُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَالنَّعْلُ فِي عُنُقِهَا

The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (a camel for sacrifice) and said (to him). "Ride it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride on it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet ﷺ said, Ride on it, woe to you!"

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (a camel for sacrifice) and said to him, "Ride on it." The man said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! It is a Bandana." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride on it, woe to you!" on the second or third time.

Messenger of Allah, it is a sacrificial camel. He told him again to ride on it; (when he received the same reply) he said: Woe to you, (he uttered these words on the second or the third reply).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah and said: "Ride it." He said: "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it." He said: "It is a Badanah." The fourth time he said: Ride it, woe to you!"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

"Ride it." He said: "It "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it even if it is a Badanah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً وَقَدْ جَهَدَهُ الْمَشْىُ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS)saw a man driving the sacrificial camel. He said ride on it. He said this is a sacrificial camel. He again said ride on it, bother you, either the second or the third time he spoke.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

That the Prophet saw a man driving his Badanah so he said to him: "Ride it." He said: "O Messenger of Allah! It is a Badanah." So on the third or fourth time he said to him: "Ride it. And woe to you!"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ لَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving forward a camel which he was going to sacrifice, and he told him to ride it. The man said, "Messenger of Allah, it is an animal that I am going to sacrifice," and he replied, "Ride it, woe on you," either the second or the third time.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوِ الثَّالِثَةِ

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ

The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (a camel for sacrifice) and said (to him). "Ride it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride on it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet ﷺ said, Ride on it, woe to you!" (Using translation from Bukhārī 6159)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْصَرَ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah and said: "Ride it." He said: "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it." He said: "It is a Badanah." The fourth time he said: Ride it, woe to you!" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2800)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ؟ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا

[Machine] From Anas, and I think I have heard it from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man who was driving a camel. He said, "Ride it." The man said, "It is a camel for carrying goods." He said, "Ride it two or three times."

عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَأَظُنُّنِي قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا

"Ride it." He said: "It "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it even if it is a Badanah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2801)

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَدْ جَهَدَهُ الْمَشْيُ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS)saw a man driving the sacrificial camel. He said ride on it. He said this is a sacrificial camel. He again said ride on it, bother you, either the second or the third time he spoke. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1760)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man driving a camel and said, "Ride it." The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a camel for carrying goods." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ride it."

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةًفقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا

[Machine] I heard Abu Hurairah saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about riding the badanah. He said, "Ride it." They said, "But it is a beast of burden." He said, "Ride it and woe to you."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْبَدَنَةِ؟ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ رَاكِبَهَا وَفِي عُنُقِهَا نَعْلٌ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about riding the Bada'nah (a type of camel), so he said, "Ride it." The person said, "But it is a Bada'nah." He replied, " Ride it, and woe to you."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْبَدَنَةِ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man while he was driving a pack animal. He said, "Ride it." The man said, "It is a pack animal." He said, "Ride it, and woe to you."

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah and said: "Ride it." He said: "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it." He said: "It is a Badanah." The fourth time he said: Ride it, woe to you!" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2800)

"Ride it." He said: "It "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it even if it is a Badanah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2801)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً وَقَدْ أَجْهَدَهُ الْمَشْيُ قَالَ «ارْكَبْهَا» قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ «ارْكَبْهَا وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving a donkey. He said, "Ride it." The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a donkey." He said, "Ride it and woe to you in the second or third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ وَيْحَكَ ارْكَبْهَا

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم رَأَى رجلاً يسوق بدنة فقال اركبها فقال إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إنها بدنة قال اركبها

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَإن كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ اركبها

" عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: رَأى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً (* * *)، فَقَال ارْكبْهَا قَالَ: إنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ، قَالَ: ارْكبْهَا".

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقالَ: ارْكَبْهَا، قَالَ: إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ، قَالَ: ارْكَبْهَا وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً".
