He who buys food-rain should not sell it until he has taken possession of it. Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) said: I regard everything like food (so far as this principle is concerned). (Using translation from Muslim 1525c)

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever buys food, let him not sell it until he has taken full possession of it.'" (Sahih) In his narration, (one of the narrators) Abu 'Awanah said: "Ibn 'Abbas said: 'I think everything is like food."'

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Someone who buys food, must not sell it until he takes possession of it."  

مالك:٣١-٤٣وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has fully exhausted it." Ibn Abbas said, "I consider everything to be at the level of food."
