He who buys foodgrain should not sell it until he has taken possession of it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْسِبُ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ مِثْلَهُ

He who buys food-rain should not sell it until he has taken possession of it. Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) said: I regard everything like food (so far as this principle is concerned).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْسِبُ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الطَّعَامِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever buys food let him not sell it until he takes possession of it. Ibn 'Abbas said: "I think the same applies to everything else as to food."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِيعُهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَحْسَبُ أَنَّ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الطَّعَامِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: If anyone buys a grain, he should not sell it until he takes possession of it. Sulaiman b. Harb said: Until he receives it in full. Musaddad added: Ibn 'Abbas said: And I think that everything is like grain.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اشْتَرَى أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ زَادَ مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْسِبُ أَنَّ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ مِثْلُ الطَّعَامِ

That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever buys food, then he is not to sell it until he takes possession of it." Ibn 'Abbas said: "All things are considered the same (in this regard)." [He said:] There are narrations on this topic from Jabir, Ibn 'Umar, and Abu Hurairah.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْسِبُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has fully exhausted it." Ibn Abbas said, "I consider everything to be at the level of food."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنِ اشْتَرَى طَعَامًا فَلا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْسِبُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الطَّعَامِ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad, may ﷺ , said, "Whoever buys food should not sell it until they have received it in full. And I think that everything is the same."
