The Prophet ﷺ said, "What is wrong with those people who look towards the sky during the prayer?" His talk grew stern while delivering this speech and he said, "They should stop (looking towards the sky during the prayer); otherwise their eyesight would be taken away."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ فَاشْتَدَّ قَوْلُهُ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The people who lift their eyes towards the sky in Prayer should avoid it or they would lose their eyesight.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ أَوْ لاَ تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "People should certainly stop lifting their gaze to the sky when they supplicate during the prayer, or they will lose their eyesight."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ رَفْعِ أَبْصَارِهِمْ عِنْدَ الدُّعَاءِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "What is the matter with people who lift their gaze to the sky when praying?" And he spoke sternly concerning that until he said: "They must stop that or they will certainly lose their eyesight."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ فَاشْتَدَّ قَوْلُهُ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

“Let those who lift their gaze to the heavens desist, or their sight will not come back.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَوْ لاَ تَرْجِعُ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ وَاشْتَدَّ قَوْلُهُ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

What is the matter that people raise their (Upwards) in prayer. He then said sternly: They should stop doing that, otherwise their sight will be snatched away. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 913)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ قَالَ فَاشْتَدَّ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ

[Machine] "I see that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'People should stop raising their gaze during prayer up to the sky, or else Allah will snatch away their sight.'"

وَأُرَاهُ ذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَوْ لَيَخْطِفَنَّ اللهُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Certain people should stop raising their gaze towards the sky, or else their sight will be taken away from them."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon them while they were raising their gaze, so he said, "Let people stop raising their gazes to the sky during prayer or it will not be returned to them."

دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُمْ رَافِعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ فَقَالَ «لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ رَفْعِهِمْ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَوْ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ»

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لينتهين ناس عن رفع أبصارهم إلى السماء عند الدعاء حتى يخطف يعني أو يخطف أبصارهم

"لَيَنْتَهِيَن أقْوَامٌ يرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاء في الصَّلاة أوْ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَيهِمْ أبْصَارُهُمْ".

"لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أقْوَامٌ عَنْ رَفْعِهِمْ أبْصَارَهُمْ عِنْدَ الدُّعَاء في الصَّلاة إلى السمَاءِ، أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَن أبْصارهُمْ".

"مَا بَالُ أقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي صَلاتِهِمْ، لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَن ذَلِكَ، أوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أبْصَارُهُمْ".
