When any one of you eats food he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in what part of the food sticking to his fingers the blessing lies. (Using translation from Muslim 2035a)  

أحمد:٨٤٩٩حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيَّتِهِنَّ الْبَرَكَةُ

That Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you eats, then let him lick his fingers, for indeed he does not know in which of them is the blessing." He said: There are narrations on this topic from Jabir, Ka'b bin Malik, and Anas.  

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except from this route, as a narration of Suhail. I asked Muhammad about this Hadith, so he said: "This is among the diverse narrations of 'Abdul-'Aziz, we do not know of it except from his narration."

[Machine] Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri narrated to me that the Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you eats food, he should not wipe his hand until he licks his fingers, as he does not know in which food the blessing lies."

[Machine] I drink until my breath stops, then I lift the cup from my mouth. And when I eat, I lick my fingers. For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you eats, let him lick his fingers, for he does not know in which of his food the blessing lies."

أَشْرَبُ حَتَّى إِذَا انْقَطَعَ النَّفَسُ رَفَعْتُ الْإِنَاءَ عَنْ فَمِي وَإِذَا أَكَلْتُ لَعِقْتُ أَصَابِعِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ تَكُونُ الْبَرَكَةُ»
