When any one of you eats food he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in what part of the food sticking to his fingers the blessing lies.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي فِي أَيَّتِهِنَّ الْبَرَكَةُ

That Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you eats, then let him lick his fingers, for indeed he does not know in which of them is the blessing." He said: There are narrations on this topic from Jabir, Ka'b bin Malik, and Anas.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي فِي أَيَّتِهِنَّ الْبَرَكَةُ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَكَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَأَنَسٍ

[AI] From the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "When one of you eats, let him lick his three fingers."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ الثَّلَاثَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, 'When you eat, do not wipe your hands till you have licked it, or had it licked by somebody else." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5456)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا »

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ ذَلِكَ الْبَرَكَةُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ فِي الْمِنْدِيلِ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you finishes eating, he should not wipe his hand until he licks it, as he does not know in which food the blessing lies."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا طَعِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَمَصَّهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامٍ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ ordered to lick the fingers and the plate and said, "None of you knows in which of these blessings lies."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِلَعْقِ الْأَصَابِعِ وَالصَّحْفَةِ وَقَالَ لَا يَدْرِي أَحَدُكُمْ فِي أَيِّ ذَلِكَ الْبَرَكَةَ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إذا أكل أحدكم فليلعق أصابعه فإنه لا يدري في أيتهن البركة

[AI] I drink until my breath stops, then I lift the cup from my mouth. And when I eat, I lick my fingers. For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you eats, let him lick his fingers, for he does not know in which of his food the blessing lies."

أَشْرَبُ حَتَّى إِذَا انْقَطَعَ النَّفَسُ رَفَعْتُ الْإِنَاءَ عَنْ فَمِي وَإِذَا أَكَلْتُ لَعِقْتُ أَصَابِعِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ تَكُونُ الْبَرَكَةُ»

[AI] Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri narrated to me that the Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you eats food, he should not wipe his hand until he licks his fingers, as he does not know in which food the blessing lies."

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ ؓ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا طَعِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ»

"إذا أكل أحدُكم طعامًا فلا يَمْسحْ يدَه بالمنِديلِ حتى يَلْعَقَها أو يُلعِقها؛ فإنه لا يدرى في أي طَعَامِه البرَكةُ".

"إذا أكل أحدُكم طعامَه فلْيلعقْ أصابِعهَ فإنه لا يدرى في أي طعامِه تكون البركُةُ" .

"إذا أكلَ أحدُكم فلا يمسحْ يدَه حتى يلعَق أصابِعه الثلاثَ".

"إذا أكلَ أحدُكم الطعامَ فْليُمصَّ أصابِعَه فإنّه لا يدرى في أيِّ طعامهِ تكونُ البركةُ" .

"إذا طَعم أحدُكُمْ مِنَ الطَّعامِ فلا يَمْسحْ يَدَهُ حتَّى يَلعَقَ أصابعَه، فإِنَّه لا يدْرِى في أَيِّ طعامِه يبُارَكُ لَهُ".
