[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "When Allah loves a servant, he calls Gabriel and says, 'Verily, I have loved so-and-so, so love him.' Then Gabriel loves him, and thereafter an announcement is made in the heavens, 'Verily, Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' So the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and then acceptance is placed for him on earth. And when Allah hates a servant, he calls Gabriel and says, 'Verily, I have hated so-and-so, so hate him.' Then Gabriel hates him, and thereafter an announcement is made in the heavens, 'Verily, Allah hates so-and-so, so hate him.' So the inhabitants of the heavens hate him, and his hatred is placed on earth."

So when Allah loves a servant, He says, 'O Gabriel, indeed your Lord loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then Gabriel announces in the heavens, 'Indeed, your Lord loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then love for him is instilled in the hearts of the people on Earth."

When Allah loves a servant, He calls Gabriel and says: Verily, I so and so; you should also love him, and then Gabriel begins to love him. Then he makes an announcement in the heaven saying: Allah loves so and so and you also love him, and then the inhabitants of the Heaven (the Angels) also begin to love him and then there is conferred honour upon him in the earth; and when Allah is angry with any servant He calls Gabriel and says: I am angry with such and such and you also become angry with him, and then Gabriel also becomes angry and then makes an announcement amongst the inhabitants of heaven: Verily Allah is angry with so-and so, so you also become angry with him, and thus they also become angry with him. Then he becomes the object of wrath on the earth also. (Using translation from Muslim 2637a)
