The Prophet ﷺ said, 'When you eat, do not wipe your hands till you have licked it, or had it licked by somebody else." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5456)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا »
The Prophet ﷺ said, 'When you eat, do not wipe your hands till you have licked it, or had it licked by somebody else."

'Abdullah b. Ka'b reported that his father Ka'b narrated to him that Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to eat with three fingers and when he had finished (eating), he licked them.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِثَلاَثِ أَصَابِعَ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ لَعِقَهَا
When any one of you eats food he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in what part of the food sticking to his fingers the blessing lies.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَلْعَقْ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي فِي أَيَّتِهِنَّ الْبَرَكَةُ

"إذا أكلَ أحدُكم فلا يمسحْ يدَه حتى يلعَق أصابِعه الثلاثَ".
When any one of you drops a mouthful he should pick it up and remove any of the filth on it, and then eat it, and should not leave it for the Satan, and should not wipe his hand with towel until he has licked his fingers, for he does not know in what portion of the food the blessing lies. "إذا سَقطت لُقمةُ أحدكم فليُمِطْ ما بها من الأذى وليَأكُلْها ولا يدَعْها للشَّيطانِ، ولا يَمْسحْ يَدَهُ بالمنديل حتى يَلعَقَها أو يُلعِقَها؛ فإِنَّهُ لا يدرى في أي طعامِه البركةُ" .
"عن عمر قال: لا يَصْلحُ لِمُسْلِمٍ إذَا أَكلَ طعامًا أنْ يَمْسَحَ يَدَهُ حتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا".
