Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution. دَخَلْتُ مَسْجِدَ دِمَشْقَ فَرَأَيْتُ أُنَاسًا مُجْتَمِعِينَ وَشَيْخًا يُحَدِّثُهُمْ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا سَهْلُ ابْنُ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ لَحْمًا فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ
[AI] Amr ibn al-As gave gifts to some people, and he showed preference to Ammar ibn Yasir. It was said to him (asked why he did so), and he replied, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “The rebellious group will kill him.”'
أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ أَهْدَى إِلَى نَاسٍ هَدَايَا فَفَضَّلَ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ
