7. Chapter of Ḥā (Male) (4/21)
[Machine] Translation: Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, also known as Abu Muhammad, was born. His birth, his qualities, and his death are described.
[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ? He said, "I was walking with him one day and we passed by a pile of dates as a form of charity. I found a date and threw it into my mouth, but then I took it out with my saliva. Some people said, 'What's wrong with you, O Messenger of Allah? Couldn't you have left it?' He said, 'Charity is not permissible for us, the family of Muhammad.'"
[Machine] A woman came to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , with her two sons. He gave her three dates, and she gave each of her sons one date. They ate their dates and then looked at their mother. She tore her date into two halves and gave one half to each of them. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Allah has shown her mercy by showing her sons mercy."
[Machine] O people, a man has passed away among you tonight who was not preceded by the earlier generations and will not be followed by the later ones. He was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , whom Allah sent as a Messenger. Jibril enveloped him from his right and Mika'il from his left. He did not bend until they opened for him what he left behind, except for seven hundred dirhams which he intended to buy a servant with. This happened on the night when 'Isa ibn Maryam ascended, the twenty-seventh night of Ramadan.
[Machine] Indeed, we are a people who do not marry our women until we order them to do so. I went to her and mentioned Yazid to her, and she said, "By Allah, that will not happen until your companion walks among us as Pharaoh walked among the Children of Israel, killing their children and sparing their women." So I returned to Al-Hassan and said, "Did you send me to a section of the Falq named Amir al-Mu'minin Pharaoh?" He said, "O Mu'awiya, beware of dislike. Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No one dislikes us or envies us except for Zaid on the Day of Judgment with a whip of fire.'"
[Machine] Indeed, 'Ali insulted Mu'awiyah with a vile insult, a man known as Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj. Do you know him? He said, "Yes." He said, "When you see him, bring him to me." He saw him near the house of 'Amr ibn Hurayth and showed him to him. He said, "Are you Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj?" He remained silent and did not answer him three times, then he said, "You are the one who insulted 'Ali ibn Abi Talib in the presence of Ibn Akilat al-Akbad. Know that if you approach the Pond (in the afterlife) and I don't see you approach it, you will find him standing there with his arms exposed, repelling the disbelievers and hypocrites from the Pond of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, just as a strange camel is driven away from its owner. This is the saying of the truthful, the trustworthy, my father Al-Qasim ﷺ".
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Verily, it is obligatory to bring happiness to your Muslim brother through forgiveness."
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he performed ablution, he preferred water to the extent that he let it flow over the place of his prostration."
[Machine] I was between Hassan and Hussein, and Marwan was mocking them. So Hassan silenced Hussein, and Marwan said, "The family of Ali is cursed." This angered Hassan, and he said, "You said the family of Ali is cursed? By Allah, Allah has cursed you on the tongue of His Prophet, ﷺ , while you are in the lineage of your father."
[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah? He said, "I ascended with him to the room of charity, and I took a date and began to peel it. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Throw it away, for charity is not lawful for us.'"
[Machine] If you were to look between Jabars and Jabalq, you would not find a man greater than me and my brother who is a prophet. And I think you should gather around Muawiyah. And I don't know, maybe it's a test for you and a temporary enjoyment. Said Ma'mar, Jabars and Jabalq are the east and the west.
The Messenger of Allah said: "The gift for the fasting person is (fragrant) oil and a censer." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 801)
[Machine] Each time the Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled when his mount did, and he settled while he was in the desert on the ground before his mount settled.
[Machine] They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of the saying of Allah, 'Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet'?" He said, "This is from what is concealed. And had you not asked me about it, I would not have informed you. Indeed, Allah entrusted me with two angels, and I am not mentioned in the presence of a Muslim servant except that they say, 'May Allah forgive you.' And Allah and His angels respond to that by saying, 'Ameen.' And no one sends blessings upon me except that the two angels say, 'May Allah forgive you.' And Allah and His angels respond to that by saying, 'Ameen.'"
[Machine] "Do not blame me, may Allah have mercy on you. Surely the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had shown me the Banu Umayyah delivering sermons on his pulpit one by one, and this disturbed him. Then this verse was revealed: 'Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar. A river in Paradise.' And this verse was also revealed: 'Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.' Banu Umayyah claimed ownership of this, and Al-Qasim said, 'We thought it was only a thousand, without increase or decrease.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Judgment, people will be gathered barefoot and naked." A woman asked, "O Messenger of Allah, how will we see each other?" He replied, "Indeed, the eyes will be focused on that day." He then raised his gaze to the sky, and she said, "O Messenger of Allah, I ask Allah to cover my 'awrah (private parts)." He said, "O Allah, cover her 'awrah."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to wear the best of what we find, to apply the best of what we find as perfume, to slaughter with the fattest of what we find, with the cow being sufficient for seven and the camel for ten, to proclaim the takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) openly, and upon us is serenity and dignity."
[Machine] She manifested her satisfaction by killing Ali, so go on, you are divorced three times. So she was content with what she had and sat in a corner of the house and said, "By Allah, I did not desire what you have achieved." So she stayed until her waiting period ended, then she turned away from him. So he sent to her what remained of her dowry and a ten thousand pleasure. When the messenger came to her with that, she said, "A little provision from a beloved who has left." When the messenger returned to Hassan and informed him of what she had said, Hassan ibn Ali cried and said, "If it were not for the fact that I heard my grandfather, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , or heard my father narrate from my grandfather that he said, 'If a man divorces his wife three times at once or divorces her three times in an ambiguous manner, she is not lawful for him until she marries someone else,'" I would retract it.

[Machine] Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan performed Hajj, and Muawiya ibn Hudayj performed Hajj with him. Muawiya ibn Hudayj was known to insult Ali. He passed by the Prophet's mosque in Medina, and Hasan ibn Ali was sitting in a gathering of his companions. It was said to him, "This is Muawiya ibn Hudayj, the one who insults Ali.'' So the Messenger of Allah came to him and said, "Answer him." He said, "Who?" The Messenger of Allah said, "Hasan ibn Ali is calling you.'' So he came to him and greeted him. Hasan ibn Ali asked him, "Are you Muawiya ibn Hudayj?" He said, "Yes.'' Hasan repeated this three times, and then asked him, "Are you the one who insults Ali?" It was as if he was embarrassed, so Hasan said to him, "By Allah, if you are granted access to the Pond, and I do not see you approaching it, then surely you will find yourself among those who denounce the hypocrites. You will be wearing the garment of a stranger, distant from the camels, [as described] in the words of the truthful, the trustworthy (i.e., the Prophet ﷺ). And surely those who fabricate lies will be deceived."

[Machine] I heard Al-Hasan bin Ali saying, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ in a dream hanging onto the throne, and I saw Abu Bakr holding onto the Prophet's cloak, and I saw Umar holding onto Abu Bakr's cloak, and I saw Uthman holding onto Umar's cloak, and I saw blood pouring from the sky to the ground." [Machine] About your father Muhammad ﷺ? He taught me some words to say in Witr. I asked, "What are they?" He said, "O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me among those whom You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, You decree and none can decree over You." I said to myself, "Did you remember anything else from him?" He said, "I walked with him in the alley of charity and I took a date and put it in my mouth. He put his hand in my mouth and took it out and said, 'O my son, don't you know that we, the people of the Prophet's house, do not eat charity?'"
