[Machine] Translation: Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, also known as Abu Muhammad, was born. His birth, his qualities, and his death are described.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Feed people food and speak kind words."

[Machine] "Lift your garment so that I may kiss the place where I saw the Prophet ﷺ kiss." So, he lifted his shirt and placed his hand on his navel.
[Machine] "There was nothing but purity between Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein."
[Machine] O Abu Abdullah, indeed I saw you in the hands of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, your hands dyed with blood when he brought you after you were born. He was pleased with you and wrapped you in a cloth. And indeed he kissed you and spoke with words that I do not know what they were. And indeed Fatimah preceded him by cutting the umbilical cord of Hasan, so he said, "Do not precede me with it."
[Machine] "If someone wants to look at the person who is most similar to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in terms of physical appearance, they should look at Al-Hasan ibn Ali. And if someone wants to look at the person who is most similar to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in terms of physical appearance from head to toe, they should look at Al-Hussein ibn Ali."
[Machine] "If someone wishes to look at the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from his head to his neck, then they should look at al-Hasan. And if someone wants to look at what is beyond his neck, then they should look at al-Husayn. They both inherited it."
[Machine] "Al-Hasan resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than anyone else, as if he was moving gracefully like a deer."
[Machine] "Among the people closest in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from head to neck is Al-Hasan."
[Machine] "Al-Hasan resembles the Prophet ﷺ the most out of all people, from the head to the neck."
When al-Hasan was born, I named him Harb [which means war], then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and said: ʿShow me my son; what did you name him?ʿ We said: Harb. He said: ʿRather he is Hasan.” When al-Husain was born, I named him Harb, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and said: “Show me my son; what did you name him?” We said; Harb. He said: “Rather he is Husain.” When the third one was born, I named him Harb. The Prophet ﷺ came and said: “Show me my son, what did you name him?” I said. Harb. He said: ʿRather, he is Muhassin.ʿ Then he said: ʿI have named them after the fashion of the sons of Haroon, Shabbar and Shabeer and Mushabbir.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 769)
When al-Hasan was born, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and said: “Show me my son; what did you name him?ʿ I said: I named him Harb [which means ʿwarʿ].
[Machine] "To name after my father Harb, when Al-Hasan was born, I named him Harb. Then the Prophet ﷺ came and asked, "What did you name him?" I said, "I named him Harb." He said, "His name is Al-Hasan."
[Machine] To the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , I said, "Why did you name him that?" He said, "No, but name him good." Then Al-Hussein was born, so I named him Harb (war). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "What did you name him?" I said, "Harb." He said, "Rather, name him Husayn." Then another child was born, so I named him Harb. He said, "What did you name him?" I said, "Harb." He said, "Name him Muhsin."
[Machine] Ali said, "I used to be a man who loved war. When Hassan was born, I intended to name him Harb (war), but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named him Hassan. When Hussein was born, I intended to name him Harb, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named him Hussein. He said, 'I have named my two sons after the names of the sons of Harun, Shabar and Shubayr.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have named them, meaning Hassan and Hussain, with the names of the sons of Haroon, Shabar and Shubeir."
[Machine] "That Husayn ibn Ali used to dye his beard with henna."
[Machine] That he named his eldest son Hamza and named Husayn Jafar after his uncle, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named them Hasan and Husayn.
[Machine] "I saw Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn dyeing their hands with Henna and Katam."
[Machine] I saw Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein -may Allah be pleased with them- dyeing themselves with black.
[Machine] Al-Hussein ibn Ali was killed on the day of Ashura in the year sixty-one at the age of fifty-eight. He used to dye his hair with henna and katam.
[Machine] "Ali was killed at the age of fifty-two, and Husayn ibn Ali was also killed. Ali ibn Husayn died, and Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Husayn also died."
[Machine] I heard Al-Mahdi asking Ja'far, "How old was Ali when he was killed?" He replied, "Fifty-eight, and it was then that Husayn ibn Ali was also killed."
[Machine] "I saw Hussein bin Ali dyeing himself with black."

[Machine] I entered upon Al-Husayn ibn Ali, and he had dyed himself with black.

[Machine] "I said 'no,' so should I make it lower than the ankles?" He said, "Nothing lower than the ankles is in the Fire."
[Machine] I saw Hassan and Hussein wearing striped socks, and I saw them riding commercial bicycles.

[Machine] That Hussein ibn Ali used to wear his signet ring on his left hand.
[Machine] I saw on Al-Hussein on the day he was killed wearing a garment made of silk.
[Machine] "A man said, 'O Abu Firās, who is this?' So Faraḍaq replied."
[Machine] Ali said, "Shall I not tell you about the special qualities of myself and my family?" We said, "Yes." He said, "As for Hasan, he is a companion of generosity and goodness. And as for Abdullah bin Ja'far, he is a companion of amusement and falsehood. Do not be deceived by the sons of Abbas. As for me and Husain, we are from you and you are from us. By Allah, I feared that these people would divert you with their righteousness in their land and your corruption in your land, with their fulfillment of trusts and your betrayal, with their obedience to their leader and your disobedience to him, with their unity on falsehood and your division on truth, until their power becomes long-lasting, and they do not prohibit anything that Allah has forbidden, and nothing remains of honor and virtue unless their oppression enters into it. And until one of you becomes a follower of theirs, and until the support of one of you from them is like the support of a slave from his master, when he witnesses his obedience to him, and when he is absent from him, he slanders him. And until the richest among you is the most impoverished in terms of his reliance on Allah, and the best among you in Allah's eyes is the one who has the best opinion of Allah. So if Allah brings you ease, accept it. And if you are afflicted, be patient, for indeed, the final outcome is for the righteous."
[Machine] We were sitting with Ali, and they mentioned his family, so Ali said, "As for Hasan, his presence alone will not be enough for you in battle, he is as weak as the thread of a sparrow, and as for Abdullah ibn Jafar, he is just a shadow and a betrayer. But as for Hussain, he is one of you, and you are from him."
[Machine] Muawiyah died in the month of Rajab, after four nights had passed. Yazid was appointed as his successor for two years. In the year 61, Husayn ibn Ali and his companions were killed, for ten nights, starting from the first day of Muharram, until the day of Ashura. The King came to him while he was in the house of Umm Salamah and said, "O Umm Salamah, keep the door closed so that no one enters." While they were at the door, Al-Hussein came and opened the door. He began jumping on the back of the Prophet ﷺ , and the Prophet ﷺ embraced him and kissed him. The King asked him, "Do you love him, O Muhammad?" He said, "Yes." The king then said, "Your nation will kill him, and if you wish, I can show you some soil from the place he will be killed." The Prophet ﷺ agreed, so the king took a handful of soil from the place where he would be killed. He brought it to him, and Umm Salamah took it and placed it in her lap. Thabit said, "We used to say that it was Karbala."

[Machine] Hussein bin Ali entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was being inspired, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled at him while he was on his shoulders and playing on his back. Gabriel said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Do you love him, O Muhammad?" He said, "O Gabriel, why should I not love my son?" He said, "Indeed, your Ummah will kill him after you." So Gabriel extended his hand towards the Prophet ﷺ with a white soil, saying, "In this land, your son will be killed, O Muhammad, and its name is Taff." When Gabriel left, the Prophet ﷺ went out holding the soil in his hand and crying. He said, "O Aisha, Gabriel informed me that my son Husayn will be killed in the land of Taff, and that my Ummah will be fragmented after me." Then he went out to his companions, among them were Ali, Abu Bakr, Umar, Hudhayfah, Ammar, and Abu Dharr, and he was crying. They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what makes you cry?" He said, "Gabriel informed me that my son Husayn will be killed after me in the land of Taff, and he brought me this soil also and informed me that it is his resting place."
