[Machine] About your father Muhammad ﷺ? He taught me some words to say in Witr. I asked, "What are they?" He said, "O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me among those whom You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, You decree and none can decree over You." I said to myself, "Did you remember anything else from him?" He said, "I walked with him in the alley of charity and I took a date and put it in my mouth. He put his hand in my mouth and took it out and said, 'O my son, don't you know that we, the people of the Prophet's house, do not eat charity?'"

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him):

I said to Al-Hasan ibn Ali, "What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "I remember that I took a date from the dates of charity and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it out with his saliva and then put it back into the dates. A man said to him, 'Why don't you eat this date?' He replied, 'Verily, we do not eat charity.' He (the man) said, 'He used to teach us this supplication: O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, take charge of me among those You have taken charge of, bless for me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, the one whom You take as a guardian is never humiliated. And sometimes he used to say, 'You are blessed, our Lord, and exalted.'"

He replied, "He carried me on his shoulder and I took a date from the charity dates and put it in my mouth. He said to me, 'Throw it away, as we are not allowed to eat from charity.' He used to make this supplication: 'O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, grant me well-being among those whom You have granted well-being, take me into Your care among those whom You have taken into Your care, bless for me what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me some words that I say during the witr. (The version of Ibn Jawwas has: I say them in the supplication of the witr.) They were: "O Allah, guide me among those Thou hast guided, grant me security among those Thou hast granted security, take me into Thy charge among those Thou hast taken into Thy charge, bless me in what Thou hast given, guard me from the evil of what Thou hast decreed, for Thou dost decree, and nothing is decreed for Thee. He whom Thou befriendest is not humbled. Blessed and Exalted art Thou, our Lord." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1425)
