Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

One should not combine a woman and her father's sister, nor a woman and her mother's sister in marriage.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade combining of four women in marriage: a woman with her father's sister, and a woman with her mother's sister.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَرْبَعِ نِسْوَةٍ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَهُنَّ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

So we regarded the paternal aunt of her (wife's) father and the maternal aunt of her (wife's) father at the same level.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ فَنُرَى خَالَةَ أَبِيهَا وَعَمَّةَ أَبِيهَا بِتِلْكَ الْمَنْزِلَةِ

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade to combine a woman and her father's sister, and a woman and her mother's sister.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).”

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: '(A man should not be married to) a woman and her paternal aunt nor to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah forbade (being married to) a woman and her paternal aunt or to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

"A woman should not be taken as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

"A woman should not be taken as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah forbade taking a woman as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or maternal aunt."

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَخَالَتِهَا

“I heard the Messenger of Allah forbid two types of marriage: For a man to be married to a woman and her paternal aunt (at the same time), and to a woman and her maternal aunt( at the same time).”

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ نِكَاحَيْنِ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: '(A man should not be married to) a woman and her paternal aunt nor to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3288)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2066)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَخَالَتُهَا وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ وَعَمَّتُهَا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

[AI] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the gathering of a woman with her maternal aunt and between a woman and her paternal aunt.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

[AI] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade mixing between a woman and her paternal aunt, and between a woman and her maternal aunt.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

"The Messenger of Allah forbade taking a woman as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3293)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said "One cannot be married to a woman and her paternal aunt, or a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ لا يجمع بين المرأة وعمتها ولاَ بين المرأة وخالتها

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ determined that Al-ʿUmarah would be the life and death of the Mu'ammar."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى فِي الْعُمْرَى أَنَّهَا لِلْمُعَمَّرِ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَوْتَهُ»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman should be married to man along with her paternal or maternal aunt. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5108)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ خَالَتِهَا»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 577)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding a man from being alone with his paternal aunt, and a man from being alone with his maternal aunt. Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn Ashajj opposed him (the Prophet).

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ» وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا خَالَفَهُ بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 577)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ خَالَتِهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A woman cannot be married to her sister-in-law, nor can a woman be married to her aunt."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَخَالَتُهَا وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ وَعَمَّتُهَا

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "There should not be any gatherings between a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt." (In another narration of Imam Shafi'i) the Prophet ﷺ said: "There should not be any gatherings between a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الشَّافِعِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited marrying four types of women who are related to each other: a woman and her maternal aunt, a woman and her paternal aunt.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَرْبَعِ نِسْوَةٍ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُنَّ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

"لَا يُجْمَعُ بينَ المَرْأةِ وعَمَّتِها، ولا بينَ المَرْأةِ وخَالتِهَا".
