So we regarded the paternal aunt of her (wife's) father and the maternal aunt of her (wife's) father at the same level.
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ فَنُرَى خَالَةَ أَبِيهَا وَعَمَّةَ أَبِيهَا بِتِلْكَ الْمَنْزِلَةِ
"The Messenger of Allah forbade (being married to) a woman and her paternal aunt or to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time."
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا
Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).”
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا
Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2066)
