[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the eating of kurrath, but the people did not stop. Then they couldn't find any alternative to eat, so they found its smell. So he (the Prophet) said, "Did I not prohibit you from this foul vegetable or doubtfully edible plant? Those who eat it should not deceive us in our mosques, as the angels are harmed by what harms humans."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to a man who passed by his belongings in the mosque, "Should you hold on to it?" The man replied, "Yes."
Jabir said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ordered a man who was distributing arrows not to pass the mosque with them except that he is holding their heads. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2586)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If any of you pass through our marketplaces or our mosques with a whip, let him hold it tightly so as not to harm any of the Muslims."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When you see a man buying and selling in the mosque, say: may Allah not bless your trade."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out to his companions while they were sitting in the mosque in circles. He said, "Why do I see you sad?"
[Machine] "Walidah was among the Arabs, so they freed her and she stayed with them. A young girl came out to them wearing a red scarf made of silk threads. She said, 'I found this.' Then she passed by Hudayyah and it fell from her. Hudayyah thought it was meat, so she grabbed it. She said, 'Look for it,' but they couldn't find it. She said, 'They accused me of it and they cut off my clothes and searched me until they searched my chest.' She said, 'By Allah, I was standing among them when Hudayyah passed by and threw the piece (of scarf) and it fell between them.' She said, 'I said, this is what you accused me of, you assumed, but I am innocent and this is it.' She said, 'So she went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and she embraced Islam.' Aisha said, 'She had a room in the mosque and used to come to me and we would talk. She said, 'Do not sit with me in a gathering, except that you say..."

I used to sleep in the mosque in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when I was young and bachelor. The dogs would urinate frequently visit the mosque, and no one would sprinkle over it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 382)
“At the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we used to eat bread and meat in the mosque.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3300)

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever eats of this plant' - the first time he said 'garlic' then he said, 'garlic, onions and leeks' [1] - 'let him not approach us in our Masjids, for the angels are offended by that which offends mankinds.'" [1] In Fath, Al-Bari, Ibn Hajar is of the opinion that it was Ibn Juraij who was talking, explaining that 'Ata' - who reported it from Jabir - narrated it both ways. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 707)
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic sentence into English is:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying; if anyone hears a man crying out in the mosque about something he has lost, he should say: May Allah not restore it to you, for the mosque were not built for this. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 473)
"The Messenger of Allah performed prayer, then a man said: 'Who was looking for the red camel?' The Prophet said: 'May you not find it! The mosques were built for that for which they were built.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 765)
"Umar passed by Hassan bin Thabit while he was reciting poetry in the Masjid, and glared at him. He said: 'I recited poetry when there was someone better than you in the Masjid.' Then he turned to Abu Hurairah and said: 'Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he said: "Answer back on my behalf. O Allah, help him with the Holy Spirit!'" He said: 'Yes, by Allah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 716)
9.8 [Machine] The Adhan
"We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we were young men close in age. He let us stay with him for twenty days. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was merciful and compassionate, and he thought that we were missing our families; he asked us about those whom we had left behind of our families, so we told him, and he said: 'Go back to your families, stay with them and teach them. Tell them when the time for prayer comes; let one of you call the Adhan and let the oldest of you lead the prayer.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 635)
"If the people knew what (virtue) there was in the call to prayer and the first row, and they not find any way to get to do that [1] other than by drawing lots, they would do that. If they knew what (virtue) there was in coming early to prayer, they would compete to be first in the Masjid. If they knew what (virtue) there was in Al-'Atamah and Subh, they would come to them even if they had to crawl." [1] Indicating the two mentioned items: that is the call to prayer and praying in the first row. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 540)
"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Your Lord is pleased with a shepherd high in the mountains who calls the Adhan for the prayer and prays. Allah says: 'Look at this slave of Mine; he calls the Adhan and Iqamah for the prayer and fears Me. I have forgiven My slave and admitted him to Paradise.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 666)
[Machine] Narrated to us Al-Qa'nabiyyu from Malik from Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman bin Abi Sa'sa'ah from his father that Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri said, "I see that you love sheep and the wilderness. So, when you are in your sheep and wilderness and you give the call to prayer, raise your voice with the Adhan. Verily, no jinn, human, or anything else hears the voice of the Mu'adhin except that it will bear witness for him on the Day of Judgment."
[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: "When the Mu'adhin calls for prayer, the Shaytan retreats, scratching at himself. When the Mu'adhin finishes the call, the Shaytan returns. And when the Imam starts reciting the Quran, the Shaytan retreats, scratching at himself. When the Imam finishes reciting, the Shaytan returns and whispers to the person until he does not know how much he has prayed. So when one of you realizes this, let him perform two prostrations while seated."
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Adhan is pronounced Satan takes to his heels and passes wind with noise during his flight in order not to hear the Adhan. When the Adhan is completed he comes back and again takes to his heels when the Iqama is pronounced and after its completion he returns again till he whispers into the heart of the person (to divert his attention from his prayer) and makes him remember things which he does not recall to his mind before the prayer and that causes him to forget how much he has prayed." (Using translation from Bukhārī 608)
When Satan hears the call to prayer, he runs away to a distance like that of Rauha. Sulaimin said: I asked him about Rauha. He replied: It is at a distance of thirty-six miles from Medina. (Using translation from Muslim 388a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man while he was walking and saying "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest". The Prophet ﷺ said, "According to our innate nature (Fitrah)". Then he said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah" and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is forbidden from Hell". So we rushed to catch up with him, and when the prayer reached him, he called out with it.
The Prophet ﷺ said: The mu'adhdhin will receive forgiveness to the extent to which his voice reaches, and every moist and dry place will testify on his behalf; and he who attends (the congregation of) prayer will have twenty-five prayers recorded for him and will have expiation for sins committed between every two times of prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 515)
"We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Bilal stood up and gave the call. When he fell silent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever says the same as this (what the Mu'adhdhin) with certainty, he will enter Paradise. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 674)
A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: My riding beast has been killed, so give me some animal to ride upon. He (the Holy Prophet) said: I have none with me. A man said: Messenger of Allah, I can guide him to one who will provide him with a riding beast. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer. (Using translation from Muslim 1893a)

when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered a bell to be made so that it might be struck to gather the people for prayer, a man carrying a bell in his hand appeared to me while I was asleep, and I said; servant of ‘abd Allah, will you sell the bell? He asked; what will you do with it? I replied; we shall use it to call the people to prayer. He said; should I not suggest you something better than that. I replied: certainly. Then he told me to say: Allah is most great, Allah is most great, Allah is most great, Allah is most great. I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to pray, come to pray; come to salvation; come to salvation. Allah is most great, Allah is most great. I testify that there is no god but Allah. He then moved backward a few steps and said: when you utter the IQAMAH, you should say: Allah is most great, Allah is most great. I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to prayer, come to salvation. The time for prayer has come, the time for prayer has come: Allah is most great, Allah is most great. There is no god but Allah. When the morning came, I came to the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) and informed him of what I had seen in the dream. He said: it is a genuine vision, and he then should use it to call people to prayer, for he has a louder voice than you have. So I got up along with Bilal and began to teach it to him and he used it in making the call to prayer. ‘Umar b. al-khattab (Allah be pleased with him) heard it while he was in his house and came out trailing his cloak and said: Messenger of Allah. By him who has sent you with the truth, I have also seen the kind of thing as has been shown to him. The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) said: To Allah be the praise. Abu Dawud said; Al-Zuhri narrated this tradition in a similar way from Sa’id b. al-Musayyib on the authority of ‘Abd Allah b. Zaid. In this version Ibn Ishaq narrated from al-Zuhri: Allah is most great. Allah is most great, Allah is most great, Allah is most great. Ma;mar and yunus narrated from al-Zuhri; Allah is most great, Allah is most great. They did not report it twice again. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 499)

"Abdul-'Aziz bin 'Abdul-Malik bin Abu Mahdhurah narrated from 'Abdullah bin muhairiz who was an orphan under the care of Abu Mahdhurah bin mi'yar that when he was preparing him to travel to Sham, he said: 'O my uncle, I am going out to Sham, and I will be asked about how you started the Adhan.' So he informed me that. Abu Mahdhurah said: 'I went out with a group of people, and we were somewhere on the road, when the Mu'adh-dhin of the Messenger of Allah gave the call to prayer in the presence of the Messenger of Allah. We heard the voice of the Mu'adh-dhin, and we were shunning it (the Adhan), so we started yelling, imitating it and mocking it. The Messenger of Allah heard us, so he sent some people who brought us to sit in front of him. He said: 'Who is the one whose voice I heard so loud?' The people all pointed to me, and they were telling the truth. He sent them all away, but kept me there and said to me: 'Stand up and give the call to prayer.' I stood up and there was nothing more hateful to me than the Messenger of Allah and what he was telling me to do. I stood up in front of the Messenger of Allah and the Messenger of Allah himself taught me the call. He said: "Say: 'Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah (Allah is the Most great, Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great; I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).'" Then he said: "Raise your voice (and say). Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah; Hayya 'alal-salah, Hayya 'alal-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; La ilaha illallah (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; Come to the Prayer, Come to the Prayer; Come to the prosperity, Come to the prosperity; Allah is the Most great, Allah is the Most Great; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah).'" Then he called me when I had finished saying the Adhan, and gave me a small bag in which there was some silver. Then he put his hand on the forelock of Abu Mahdhurah, then passed it over his face, then over his chest, and over his heart, until the hand of the Messenger of Allah reached his navel. Then the Messenger of Allah said: 'May Allah bless you and send blessings upon you.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, do you command me to give the call to prayer in Makkah?' He said: 'Yes, I command you (to do so).' Then all the hatred I had felt towards the Messenger of Allah disappeared, and was replaced with love for the Messenger of Allah. I came to 'Attab bin Asid, the governor of the Messenger of Allah in Makkah, and gave the call to prayer with him by command of the Messenger of Allah." (Sahih)He ('Abdul-'Aziz) said: "Someone who met Abu Mahdhurah told me the same as 'Abdullah bin Muhairiz told me." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 708)

The words of adhan were pronounced from the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ twice in pairs (i.e. four times) each, and the words of iqamah were pronounced once in pairs (twice each), except that the phrase "The time for prayer has come" would be pronounced twice. When we heard iqamah, we would perform ablution, and go out for prayer. Shu'bah said: I did not hear AbuJa'far narrating any other tradition except this one. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 510)
