ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ تَرْكِ اجْتِمَاعِ النَّاسِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ الْوَاحِدِ إِذَا أَرَادُوا تَعَلُّمَ الْعِلْمِ أَوْ دَرْسَهُ

ibnhibban:1654 – al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAbdullāh al-Qaṭṭān > Hishām b. ʿAmmār > al-Muʾammal b. Ismāʿīl > al-Thawrī > ʿAbd al-Malik b. ʿUmayr > Abū Salamah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out to his companions while they were sitting in the mosque in circles. He said, "Why do I see you sad?"  

ابن حبّان:١٦٥٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ جُلُوسٌ حِلَقًا فَقَالَ « مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ عِزِينَ»

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, and saw them (his companions) in separate groups. He said: How is it that I see you in separate groups?
