"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah and it hits the target, it will raise him one level in Paradise.' That day I shot sixteen arrows that hit their targets." He said: "And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, it is equal to the reward of freeing a slave.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3143)   

الحاكم:٢٥٦٠ – أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا أَبُو قُدَامَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ حَاصَرْنَا قَصْرَ الطَّائِفِ

فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَبَلَغْتُ فِي يَوْمٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ فَإِنَّ أَبَا نَجِيحٍ هَذَا هُوَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَسَةَ السُّلَمِيُّ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم

[Machine] "We surrounded the palace of Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever reaches (the enemy) with an arrow will have a degree in Paradise.' On that day, I reached sixteen arrows successfully."

[Machine] We besieged Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, "Whoever participates with an arrow in the path of Allah, he will have a degree in Paradise." He said, "On that day, I participated with sixteen arrows."
