I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, then he has the reward of freeing a slave."

عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ؓ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah and it hits the target, it will raise him one level in Paradise.' That day I shot sixteen arrows that hit their targets." He said: "And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, it is equal to the reward of freeing a slave.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَبَلَّغْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ عِدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ

"I heard Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas say: 'I am the first of the Arabs to shoot an arrow in the cause of Allah.'"

سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ يَقُولُ إِنِّي لأَوَّلُ الْعَرَبِ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

[AI] "So I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever throws an arrow in the way of Allah, he will have the reward of a liberator.' He (the narrator) said, 'So on that day, I delivered sixteen arrows.'"

فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ» قَالَ فَبَلَغْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah and it hits the target, it will raise him one level in Paradise.' That day I shot sixteen arrows that hit their targets." He said: "And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, it is equal to the reward of freeing a slave.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3143)

فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَبَلَغْتُ فِي يَوْمٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا

[AI] "We surrounded the palace of Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever reaches (the enemy) with an arrow will have a degree in Paradise.' On that day, I reached sixteen arrows successfully."

حَاصَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَصْرَ الطَّائِفِ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فَلَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَبَلَغْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا صحيح

[AI] "That Saad ibn Abi Waqqas was the first to shed blood in the cause of Allah."

«أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَهْرَاقَ دَمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ»

[AI] "The first one to throw an arrow in the path of Allah is Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas."

«أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ»

[AI] We besieged Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, "Whoever participates with an arrow in the path of Allah, he will have a degree in Paradise." He said, "On that day, I participated with sixteen arrows."

حَاصَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الطَّائِفَ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» قَالَ فَبَلَغَتْ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ من رمى بسهم في سبيل الله كان له نورا يوم القيامة

"I heard Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas say: 'I am the first of the Arabs to shoot an arrow in the cause of Allah.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 131)

سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ يَقُولُ «إِنِّي لَأَوَّلُ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ﷻ»

[AI] "The first person to throw an arrow in the cause of Allah was Sa'd."

«أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ سَعْدٌ»

[AI] The first person to throw an arrow in the way of Allah was Saad.

«أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ سَعْدٌ»

[AI] "The first to throw an arrow for the sake of Allah was Sa'd."

«أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ سَعْدٌ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah and it hits the target, it will raise him one level in Paradise.' That day I shot sixteen arrows that hit their targets." سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ بَلَغَ سَهْمًا فَهُوَ لَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَبَلَغْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَهُوَ عِدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ» مُخْتَصَرٌ

"مَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيل اللهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ دَرَجَة فِي الْجَنَّةِ".

"مَنْ بَلَغَ بِسَهْمٍ في سبِيل الله فهو لَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ".

"مَن رَمَى بِسَهْم في سَبيلِ الله فَلَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ، وَمَنْ بَلَغَ بسَهْم في سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَلَهُ دَرَجَةٌ في الْجَنَّةِ".

"عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: إِنِّى لأَوَّلُ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ رمَى بسَهْمٍ فِى سَبيلِ الله فِى الْغَزْوِ وَعِنْدَ الْقِتَالِ".

"أَوَّلُ النَّاسِ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ في سَبِيلِ الله سَعْدٌ".
