[Machine] "We surrounded the palace of Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever reaches (the enemy) with an arrow will have a degree in Paradise.' On that day, I reached sixteen arrows successfully."

[Machine] We surrounded the fortress of Ta'if with the Prophet ﷺ, and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever throws an arrow for the sake of Allah and hits the target, he will have a place in Paradise." A man then said, "O Prophet of Allah, if I throw an arrow and hit the target, will I have a place in Paradise?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Throw it." So he threw and hit the target. The Prophet ﷺ said, "He will have sixteen arrows on that day." Then he mentioned its meaning.

[Machine] We besieged Ta'if with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, "Whoever participates with an arrow in the path of Allah, he will have a degree in Paradise." He said, "On that day, I participated with sixteen arrows."  

ابن حبّان:٤٦١٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ بِنَسَا حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ

"عَنْ أَبِى نَجِيحٍ السُّلَمِىِّ قَالَ: حَاصَرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ قَصْرَ الطَّائِفِ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فَبَلَغَهُ فَلَهُ دَرَجَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ

رَجُلٌ: يَا نبىَّ الله: إِنْ رَمَيْتُ فَبَلَغْتُ فَلِىَ دَرَجَةٌ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَرَمَى فَبَلَغَ، قَالَ: فَبَلَغْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا".
