Five rights of a Muslim upon another Muslim

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The rights of a Muslim over another Muslim are five: (1) returning the greeting of peace, (2) visiting the sick, (3) following funeral processions, (4) accepting an invitation, and (5) responding to one who sneezes ˹by saying, ‘May Allah have mercy on you’˺.”

ʿAbd al-Razzāq followed him and said: Maʿmar informed us; and it was also narrated by Salamah from ʿUqayl.

البخاري:١٢٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «حَقُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ خَمْسٌ: (١) رَدُّ السَّلاَمِ، (٢) وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ، (٣) وَاتِّبَاعُ الْجَنَائِزِ، (٤) وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ، (٥) وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ».

تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ وَرَوَاهُ سَلاَمَةُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ
