[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands when he stood up for prayer, until they were level with his shoulders. Then he would say the takbir. When he wanted to bow, he would do the same. And when he raised from bowing, he would do the same. However, he would not do this when he raised his head from prostration.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ لِلصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تَكُونَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَلَا يَفْعَلُهُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ
