"I came to the Prophet and asked him about the sacrificial meat. I heard him say: 'For a boy, two sheep, and for a girl, one sheep, and it does not matter if they are male or female."'

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْهَدْىِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْغُلاَمِ شَاتَانِ وَعَلَى الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا

"For a boy, two sheep, and or a girl, one sheep, and it does not matter if they are male or female

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ عَنِ الْغُلاَمِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا

I heard the Prophet (nay peace be upon him) say: Let the birds stay in their roosts. She said: I also heard him say: Two sheep are to be sacrificed for a boy and one for a girl, but it does you no harm whether they are male or female.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَقِرُّوا الطَّيْرَ عَلَى مَكِنَاتِهَا قَالَتْ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ عَنِ الْغُلاَمِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ أَذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا

[Machine] I heard from Umm Kurz Al-Ka'abiyah, who spoke about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . She said, "I heard the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Al-Hudaybiyah. I went to ask him about the meat regarding a young boy and a young girl, whether it is permissible for you to eat the male or female. He ﷺ said, 'I heard the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saying, 'Honour the birds according to their places of residence.'"

سَمِعْتُ مِنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ الَّتِي تُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَذَهَبْتُ أَطْلُبُ مِنَ اللَّحْمِ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَوْ إِنَاثًا قَالَتْ وَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَقِرُّوا الطَّيْرَ عَلَى مَكِنَاتِهَا

[Machine] "She heard the Prophet ﷺ say about a newborn boy, 'Two sheep as a sacrifice, and about a newborn girl, one sheep, it does not harm you whether it is male or female.'"

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي الْعَقِيقَةِ قَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَوْ إِنَاثًا»

That she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the 'Aqiqah. He said: "For the boy is two sheep, and for the girl is one, it will not harm you if they (i.e. the sheep) are male or female." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1516)

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا»

That she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the 'Aqiqah. He said: "For the boy is two sheep, and for the girl is one, it will not harm you if they (i.e. the sheep) are male or female." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1516)

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا»

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْهَدْيِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «عَلَى الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَلَى الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كَانَتْ أَمْ إِنَاثًا»

"For a boy, two sheep, and or a girl, one sheep, and it does not matter if they are male or female (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4218)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا»

"عَنِ الغُلام شَاتَان وَعَنِ الجَاريَةِ شَاةٌ، لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ أذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أمْ إِنَاثًا".
