[Machine] I saw Al-Bara' bin 'Azib with dirt on his clothes, so he performed ablution and wiped over his socks and shoes, then he prayed.  

البيهقي:١٣٥٥وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ نا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى
